For any football enthusiasts i thought i'd share my beta version of my tape. I've gotten all the clips i want to put in, just need to put arrows on plays that are hard to tell which one is me.
I started both ways for most of the year, center/right tackle on offense, DE on defense. Either try to find #66 or just look for the white guy (we only had 4 on our team anyways). I realize on some plays it's not very clear who i am.
Before you (if anyone) watches, remember this is highschool and i'm a junior. I'm also not 6'4 250 so don't expect to see 7 minutes of LSU bound highlights. Either way i'm proud of a few of the highlights.
(My tackling technique is shit, something i plan to improve on for next season) Final edit will hopefully include arrows indicating me, and rearranged clips to make it look as good as possible lol.
EDIT: Received my first letter of interest yesterday, from Middlebury College in Vermont. Very good academic private D3 school, it's not much, but i'm quite happy  In case anyone cares lol. I'll be updating this blog as i go along. I'll be visiting Middlebury over spring break anyhow..

When i finish the video fully, i will send it out to various colleges/ their coaches. If they like what they see in the video, they might contact me back for more information. If, after next season, they feel like i would be an asset for their team, they could give me a scholarship (funding for school) to play football at their school.
It's all just hypothetical right now.

My high school's first U.S. Army All-American had a highlight tape and he plays for University of Florida now. I'm just not sure if he made it or if our coach made it in honor of him becoming a U.S. Army All-American, but besides that I'm pretty sure it is normal.

I was under the impression that most prospects have their coaches make their film tapes, and then send them out to schools that are recruiting. This at least is what happens with NCAA 1A talent.
Some of your highlights were really nice. You have a good burst off the line on both sides of the ball. I'd work more on your tackling technique, you seemed to be a better defensive end than offensive lineman

Nice video, OP. Nice crackback on the pick. Was that the guy down at the end of the play? Nice closing speed on mike from the center position in one of those plays.

Yes it was. Coincedentally he committed to Yale earlier this week, so i feel happy about that play. Thanks for watching.

Are you of German descent?
Other than that, it looks quite interesting. I'm really jealous of the fact, that kids in the US have a well-organized sports league even at high-school level. The idendification of the students with the school seems to be very strong

Yes my father is swiss german and has lived all over europe/germany, and i lived in Berlin as a young child. Unfortunately i forgot german (i was pretty fluent as a 6 year old lol).

Will be a nice video with decent amounts of editing. Some stuff is hard to follow at times. And putting it together without music as you say in the "official" one will be good.
Also, you seem more suited for being on defence. Hope everything goes well and you have some luck in submitting your video. Be sure to post updates here with your progress.

I know a couple of people who are going there, and one of the football coaches and the head of the social studies department at my high school played football there. Congrats!

I'm almost finished with the final product. Will probably upload the official tape (without music) as well as a version with music (because we all know how boring muted stuff can get..).
Most likely going to replace the video in the OP with them.
