LOL can be a lot of fun when you have a team that works.
Had a game, played Renekton solo top with my buddy playing jungle Shyvanna, Brand mid, Ashe & Sona bot.
Coordinating ganks in skype is so easy. "Brand, let Malhazar push" Shyvana kills +1 "Hey Shyv, Malphite and Ashe are pushing top hard." Shyvana kills +1 Renekton kills +1
etc

Post-game chat not full of bad manner? What is this?
|
|
Did you notice the tiamats on one of the two AD carries, on renek, and the AD malz? lol
|
Malz changed his items last minute - dunno why? Trolling the post-game I guess?
I've heard a lot of smack about Tiamat, but depending on your usage, it sometimes works out quite well, especially on character that have trouble with large minion waves, or with farming. Also works pretty well on some junglers.
|
Haha, I am starting to play a little bit of LoL, I play Ashe and I always get ganked by Shyvana QQ.
|
Yeah so much more fun to play with friends. Have you tried jungle kayle? She is fun too
I think for its cost tiamat is pretty bad as an item. It's splash is nice, but the range is so small I can't imagine it even helping much in the jungle :/ And cost for cost I think it's worse than other offensive items. It's not a terrible choice and not a game loser. Just silly
Now I'm too tryhard and I'm afraid of playing new champions until I try them vs bots because I know I'll get stomped too hard if I do. For good reason too. Sometimes when my friends invite their friends now, and we're all on mumble or skype, you can just tell that the enemy team is doing the same thing. Their ping is the same so they're playing from the same place, and their coordination is balls scary. In fact when we're not facing an arranged team it's usually blatantly obvious and we just wreck come late game.

What the fuck is that Malzahar doing? AD?
|
Shyv is not really that good of a ganker, honestly. She's not a bad hero, but there are way better gankers than her.

She is very fun to play :D

I'd have to disagree on both Tiamat and Shyv as a ganker. Tiamat is dirt cheap for 50 AD, hp regen AND mana regen. The AoE is a pretty cool extra bonus, and honestly is speeds jungling up CRAZY fast for a lot of characters. Also again, characters that are all single-target and have trouble clearing a lane do well with it.
As for Shyv ganking, she's fast as hell, does self-center AoE, so you can just run along side and spam skills without worrying about auto attack if you need, and the ult knocks people around, so you can knock people into or away from turrets, towards teammates, etc. Also, as a jungler, she can grab Red for extra slow/dot.
|
News flash, your team does well when the other team has no jungler.
|
HP regen and mana regen are worthless on ad carries though since ad carries generally don't need mana, and their lifesteal gives them life back much faster. It also takes up an item slot that could be filled by something more expensive and better.
The radius is pretty shit too. I mean 185 radius is 10 more than xin zhao's attack range. I think it starts at the center of the enemy too, so unless your enemies are overlapping each other, you won't hit. I've tried tiamat's. In theory they work well but in practice, if your goal is to stand up to 5 enemies and hit them, you won't. Kayle has a larger splash radius. I think she'd be able to splash a bunch of people if they were grouped up at say baron. She also has an ult to help her do it. Tiamat twitch (I think, haven't tried this) could be a counter to a deathbrush. Other than that, even if the item is good for farming, it's just going to push your lane up and cause you to get ganked by shyvana's that are higher summoner level than you are.

Charts of item efficiency disagree with you.
Taimat is actually pretty much only viable on Shyvana, because in her dragon form when she double strikes it is aoe and tiamat is procced on each of those targets hit, which can be ridiculous damage if the team is stacked up.
|
Shyv isn't naturally a great ganker but she naturally jungles quickly meaning she can gank more often for the same amount of XP and also she can pretty safely invade jungle and go around behind them as well as kill their jungler or steal their jungle.

Three clarities o.o were they trying to do Courage? lol

after looking at this screen i have to say this is terrible terrible low elo, but glad you are having fun honestly reminds me off the times when i still had fun playing LoL instead of being angry when something doesn't work out

shyvana does a ton of damage, but she can't really set up ganks for her lanes like say. amumu b/c she has no hard cc (pre6) and even when she has dragon, that's not really hard cc. but if you pair her with someone who can set up the ganks. she can truly shine. like say with ryze or something.

glad you're having fun but lol
reminds me of before I played ranked. huge skill gap between even non-ranked players and 1200 elo. I'm only 1300 elo but the other day I went back to normal because riot took down ranked, went 5x tiamat on corki and raped.
good manner from both teams!

Some of the comments, though not very good-manner are correct, we aren't extremely high-elo players. Only 2 of us on that team were lvl 30 (Me and Ishikalin), and we haven't been playing ranked very long. We play ranked whenever our non-lvl 30 friends aren't on...so duo queue...which is usually WORSE than normals...
So, haven't had much luch on Ranked yet. We've carried a few games, TRIED to carry a few games, and failed at a few games..which amounts to a lot of losses and a few unsatisfying wins in ranked so far.
If anyone can link one of these brakdowns of why Tiamat is bad, I'd appreciate. So far all the "this is why Tiamat is bad" posts haven't said anything I don't know...but they haven't disputed anything I've said either. I think the enemy team building those Tiamats was stupid as hell, but I think Tiamat can be good in a HIGHLY situational way.
One character I've tried Tiamat on that worked like crazy was Tristana. Any time she kills a minion (or champ) it explodes, and with Tiamat, you can drop several minions at once, which causes chain explosions, and can wipe a whole creep wave in 2-3 shots without skills. Also, if a player happens to be near creeps, the damage stacks up super quick.
This might just me be remembering things better than they were, but about a week or two into the game, Tristana was the second character I'd tried and I got a quadra or a penta (forget which) with her like that. Enemy team was pushing up a creep wave, we engaged in a team fight, a couple shots in the creeps started exploding and 6x explosion damage +shot damage +splash +more explosions & splash from champs dying...everyone was dead.
Obviously though, that's like a once-in-forever situation, and I'm not arguing that makes Tiamat good...

is it awkward on skype when no one is talking and you hear people breathing i hate that
|
That's why you use mumble. I think people hate it when I curse under my breath for missing cs.

How did that take 41 minutes to finish? Come on bro

Their team was actually pretty coordinated and defended towers well. Also, once we got to like 2x their kill score, we kinda starting f'ing around a bit, since their defense was pretty good. Just getting more fed to break them basically.

This is an illusion created by the ranking system, even normals have a rank, they just dont show it to you (you used to be able to see it by looking in game files).
So after playing a bunch of normals and getting 30, you play ranked for a while, get better, then go back to normals and just roflstomp because you are better now and are still playing at your old unranked ELO. If you play some more normals your unranked ELO will stabilize and come in line with ranked skillwise...obviously with terrible teamcomps and no communication.
Its like a SC2 player starting out 1v1 in bronze league, playing 2v2's all the way up to diamond, and then going to play some 1v1's again. They stomp face and say clearly there is a huge skill gap between 1v1 and 2v2 players.
|
I don't know if you're trying to argue that Normal and Ranked have similar skill levels because they don't.
You can play thousands of games in Normal and never get better, in many aspects that matter (mechanics, map control/awareness, etc.).
|
I'm pretty sure you can play a million of any game type and not get any better if you don't try to.
