I also feel that people that very shitty imaginations don't really get scared, they just don't know how to let their brains get immersed into the game. Anyone from hindsight can play it without being scared once they understand the objectives and what needs to be done.

People with low IQs aren't scared either because their too dumb to feel fear.

the rush of being chased fucked me over. when you're trying to open the door and you know they're coming closer and closer to you, made me jump every time when i turned around to see it reaching for my face >__>

And yeah I havn't yet ruled out that I am crazy or somewhat wacko, I kinda lean towards that conclusion but yeah. In a sense I am quite surprised how odd it is in the end to not be scared of it :\

@Snuggles I have great imagination and ability to visualize stuff in my mind. Also I don't fit in to low IQ either (member of Finnish Mensa and High IQ society).

Scares the shit out of me. I don't know why it and every Horror game ever made is just able to bring out the absolute worst in me. I can watch horror movies, read horror stories (my favourite kind of story), listen to horrific music and be completely unaffected but as soon as it becomes a game, everything goes straight to hell for me.
My friend thinks it's me being too quick to immerse myself in a game, sounds possible tbh.

I played it in the dark with doors open and with the volume cranked up. I was not scared , i quit the game after 1 hour because it bore me to hell.

Very scary. I did everything possible to make the experience the most immersive possible (play at night, lights out with headphones). Amazing game. If you don't play like that you'll miss one hell of a excelent game.

They did such a good job with the sound effects.I was so scared in the begining because you never knew when the first monster's appear.But after a while you get used to it and the suprise effect doesnt scare you anymore.This game was brilliant though and everyone that has the chance to play it should play it,the only thing is you have to be patient because sometimes i didnt know what to do and it was depressing.

I don't think I was as scared as other people (day9 for example), but definitely anxious. I think this is one of the few games that gave me a feeling of dread to play, so definitely a great horror game for me.

I really love the violin (not sure) that starts playing when a monster is near. Great sounds in general (although the grinding teeth sounds a bit weird...and the cockroaches sound like hissing cats??)

The game was awesome but I wasn't scared too much. It felt too linear which kinda makes you realize you are just walking through a level and this is just a video game.
The only game that ever managed to scare me was S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Shadow of Chernobyl. Oblivion Lost mod with maximum difficulty and the really dark nights were you can't see shit without flashlight...It was so scary I could just spend the night in camps or in open roads constantly looking around with my flashlight.

This game is more stressful than scary imo. I can't play more than 2 hours in one sitting lol
