Are you easily scared? I know I'm not.
I feel both pride and sadness when I am confronted with scary subjects, weather it be something you read, watch, hear or experience. Because I know that once the peak of the moment is coming, I am going to be either bored or giggling. Depends if I'm high or sober, really. It resembles my feelings for funny things, either I don't laugh at all or I laugh out loud, nothing in-between. So after writing a little bit about myself and how it seems that I'm mr-uber-cool-not-scared-of-shit, I think it's time to put this broodwar-loving guy back on earth. Actually I am already there, in fact, I am now closing in on the center of earth, hiding behind the good ol' 2-layered bedsheet-shelter.
So why this confession in the middle of a thursday night(about 1:30am)?
Well... I got scared! It doesn't happen very often, but today, after a fatty, I actually got scared. The last time I was scared for real was when I was 12 and saw my first horror movie, The Shining, followed by one of the Terror on Elm Street movies. In both of these occations it has been me alone in a dark room, in the middle of the night, with no light source other than the screen in front of my eyes. If there was a receipt for "preparations for scariness", this would be mine.
Anyway, by now you are probably curious as of what scared me today. Well I'm going to give it to you for you to experience yourself, but be aware, this is not for the lighthearted.

I posted the above post in the High Thread but after browsing TL.net and not finding anything about this, I decided to write something a bit more deserving a blog post, and release it as a blog as well.

i dont want to spoiler anything but you can find this sort of scare in any cheap horror flick.

This was made in such a clever way that I did not expect what happened, to happen... at all. Then again, even watching it one more time makes me a little uneasy. Though I understand if you didn't get scared.

i think we have different definitions of scared.
imo this was surprising, not scary.
and im not saying its not clever because i thought it was really clever too.

I had seen this linked before. That day I opened it and just wanted to skim it to see what it was about - cause I'm lazy - I scrolled down really fast with my scroll wheel and it scared the shit outta me.

This was totally surprising, as alot of other scary things are, however for some odd reason I found this particular thing to be a combination of really surprising and scary. I guess it has to do with how people read it too, becoming scared of something alot of times has to do with the way you approach it, you need to let yourself become scared to be scared... if that makes sense.

Wow totally worked on me. If you are used to reading comics it messes with your head a lot seeing a comic move like that.

hmmm cheap scares , but it's also a first time reading a manga with animation with it , good work from the artist though . Still I believe this manga is much more scarier than the manga you just suggested . The effect lasted longer than this just cheap scares ^^ . Be warned though after reading this manga I had the lights on for few days until i got over it and as a adult I am pretty shame of my self for getting scared of it . The effect of the manga had the same effect as the movie shutters (thai version not the remake )
