Free SC2 Coaching - Accepting Students up to Diamond League
(Will accept Master Leagues too.)
I have some time again to offer free coaching to anyone that wants it. I have been a Master Zerg that took a long hiatus because of work. While I play zerg, I have a lot that I can teach lower level Terran and Protoss players.
My teaching style is very Socratic and varies based on the student goals. I focus more on decision making and thought process but can also help you learn good practice techniques to achieve your goals.
If a past student of mine sees this, maybe they can post some comments about their experience. Also, past students get first priority to open slots.
I am only accepting 5 new students at this time.

I recently switched to zerg from protoss. I was plat as protoss and currently gold as zerg. Haven't had a coach so I'm not sure how this works.

Any server is okay. I teach via skype.
You will not get any practice game with me but I use a combination of TeamViewer to share screens and also Skype for talking.
You must be able to speak English though.

So the reason I would ask for coaching is because I feel that I have the ability to play at a higher level than I am at now. Like many others, my worst match up is ZvZ, and my best match up is arguably ZvP. I'd like one day to play at my full potential, and love to talk strategy/have SC2 Discussion with others to stimulate thought.

I want to get better because I want to improve my understanding of the game. At this point I feel like I just try to copy as much as I can from VODs I watch and don't understand anything behind why I do things. As a result, I feel extremely frustrated when I lose, because I don't understand why. I want to understand the game better.

I am stuck in silver because I have some gaps in my game knowledge. I have done my best to research how to fix my problems: watching vods and streams and paying for guides. My problems are situational, and I sometimes make poor decisions. I want to bone-up on my ZvP until I no longer have any issues.

Currently in platinum having tons of trouble defending 1 base all-ins/cheese etc, I do /okay/ with macro but I feel like if I had someone pointing out the flaws i'm not catching it'd help a ton.

From my experience, scheduling conflict will cause some to not be part of the 5 slots so I have sent an email to everyone who has PM'd me their email address.

I played since sc2 came out and was able to get up to diamond 3 at one point but then some unforseeable events occured and i left sc2 for about 5 months, upon coming back i found that my skills were very rusty and i had forgotten some of the basics that i relied upon heavily before. So overall i would just be relearning about how to scout efficiently while maintaining mineral control as well as late game macro. My best matchup is probably zvt and my worst is zvp. I'll send you a tell asap ty for your time.

Hey there, I know you primarily will be doing zerg coaching but I really enjoy the zerg style of play but wish to gain knowledge in the TvZ MU by learning from a masters Z on how he reacts to builds and pressure. Moreso, though, I like the way that you approach teaching the game both technically and psychologically for each individual student. In the end I don't care about the league I just want to play better and be able to participate well in tournaments and to be a part of a community of players, as SC2 can get lonely after a while and difficult to see where to improve without guidance.

I will be restructuring my lessons so that I can fit more people into the program. I was very happy to see so many people take me up on the offer. Moreover, I was very happy to see the improvements in my students.
You can still apply but it maybe a 1-4 weeks in between each personal lessons. I will, however, schedule group lessons once a week to go over important topics that will help everyone. I believe a socratic teaching method works better in a group where students can build off of each other.

Silver zerg but I almost exclusively play gold/plat players on ladder and it is pretty easy for me. My goal is to get to masters with a strong macro style. I want to work on scouting for builds, looking at gas timings and unit compositions to determine what may or may not be coming. I just like the idea of being exposed to ideas outside of my own mind to possibly get a better idea of what I could be doing at any given time in a game.

I want coaching because while I feel I have a solid grasp on macro and map awareness, I don't feel confident pushing until I'm maxed. I realize that I need to attack and actually DO things with the units I produce, but I always feel like pushing out exposes me to a fatal backstab or my push will completely fail, and it's a rut I haven't been able to get out of =[

Hey! I am a silver leaguer and I want coaching because I haven't decided on a race yet, and whenever I start thinking about my race decision, I always think, "Man, I would play zerg if I just knew what I was doing." My problem hasn't been so much macroing (except injects) as it has been decision making and executing a build.

I'm diamond, but it's shaky, i streak, and then i don't. I play about 10-12 hours a day, hopes of learning better standard playstyle in the various match ups, i'm pretty accustomed to a lot of the tactics just trying to reach that "next" as it were.

im plat. ive been playing since release, and i want to improve. im finding right now that the main way to do that is to just play as many games as possible, but coaching would be incredibly helpful. i play zerg because it just feels right to me. i feel like i have the potential to be very good at this game and its frustrating when i lose to people i know i should be beating. Being good at this game is important to me. i want to be the best. it sounds like a stereotypical and crazy goal, but i want to be feared basically. so if you can help me with that send me your questionnaire.
