I just had a nightmare that everybody in the world was dead, and I was flying around in a huge completely empty city. There were entire skyscrapers that were completely empty. The wind blew through them making hollow noises. The walls were molding and falling apart, and the interiors were completely dark even in the middle of the day because there was no electricity and I was scared to go in. Everything has been empty for hundreds of years and it was just me left. But everywhere there were signs that life once existed here. There was trash and old toys and bicycles left behind. I could almost even hear the echos of people when I saw these things laying around the ground. When it rained, water could come out from the sides of the huge empty skyscrapers, but I was always too scared to go in too far because of how dark they were inside.
I wonder if this is because I never talk to anyone in my life. I've been a loner as far as I can remember. Even when I was a kid, my parents never really talked to me, and we moved around a lot so I never really made friends either. Maybe this is it. My subconsciousness is finally punishing me. It just felt so empty. dunno. what a fucked up dream. I don't want to go back to sleep.
I feel messed up right now.

I hear Chernobyl is somewhat similar to what you described. Oddly, I want to visit there some day...

Chernobyl doesn't have 50 story empty skyscrapers

I disagree when people look into dreams as much as this. I understand the connection they are trying to make with their subconcious, but dreams are open for interpretation not just a symbol of what we cannot control.
An example: I recently had a stretch of dreams about my ex-girlfriend. I had broken up with her over a year and a half ago and hadn't thought a thing of her until this point. Does this mean that I have some deep, mad obsession with her? If I interpret it that way, then yes. It doesn't directly 100% mean this however.. If that makes sense.
Take what YOU want from this dream. If you have always wanted to be more open and outgoing and it took this dream to make you finally accept that then there you go. It could be perceived by hundreds of people a hundred different ways. If a dinosaur had popped out of one of those buildings, are you suddenly going to pursue a degree in archeology (spelling)?
So yeah, that's my incoherent ramble. Toodles! NasD

I tried this. Now I have nightmares of melting plastic
On a more serious note, yeah that's weird I suppose, when I was younger I had problems with nightmares too. I don't take it as a sign of anything though, at most dreams will give you a look into your psyche. Don't overthink it too much, and if it becomes a persistent problem you could consult a professional?

So what's wrong with the dream, sounds exciting.
