Anyway, it's been a long time since my last update. I've been busy with school stuff so I haven't played seriously much. I play around a game a day generally, just to keep up, but with that rate, I don't really get much time to work on strategy. I'm probably keep at this pace just because I want to focus on school and I can't really devote all my free time to starcraft. I would, but it's hard to keep laddering all the time.

Surprisingly... I haven't actually been playing many Terrans at all during the last few weeks. I don't really have many memories of ZvT. Maybe because I play it the same way as ZvP. I've been trying to do roach fast double expand but Terran can hit with so many all-ins that it doesn't really feel safe. Other than that, muta ling, defend defend, harass harass, win win.

So I'm at a loss. Mutas are great, sure, but after mutas, you still have to transition into roach infestor. You can't keep making mutas because once they get in high number, infestor hydra ruins the fun.
Let me restate. I HAAAAATE Infestors. Okay, maybe in ZvT and ZvP they aren't that bad but ZvZ, FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! Because it boils down to infestor roach battles which are TERRIBLE. The roaches are just there to get funguled and to pick off infestors when they have no roaches protecting them. And because you have to spend your minerals on SOMETHING. The thing with infestor vs infestor is that ONE mistake. ONE group of clumped up infestors means all your infestors die and you will lose. Because it's a freeze spell and not slow, you cannot run away and you lose the game.
If I had options OTHER than infestor roach, that would be fine and dandy but there are no options. Roach hydra gets crushed in tighter areas, hive tech is too slow and mutas will not work in the mid-late game.
I heard from a friend about Idra's muta into ultra strategy where he gets a bunch of spine crawlers in the middle to defend against ground while he techs. First thing, my friend's low masters sso I don't really trust what he says. Second, I need to know the timings of the build to actually use it. Does anyone have some replays or VODs of Idra doing this?

All is well in the land of ZvP. Mutaling, counter, ez. That's what I do every single game. Apparantly, blink stalkers move pretty fast. I played a game where i got him down to two assimilators in his main but couldn't kill him because I kept on losing my mutas to blink. That made me sad.
I think I might want to look into roach play more. Counters are awesome but I'd like to diversify my play a bit too. I'll try that later.

SC2 ranks is down so no update. I got up to rank 5 though. Again, school is in session so I'll be updating a lot less than before. Thanks for reading.
Oh, and the steelseries gear is great. Though I recently got a haircut with spiky hair so it's hard to put on the headset X_X.
