Since i've been going random and playing around with all the different races, i noticed something interesting.

Every time im Terran i get BM. I mean sure, ill do some cheesy-esque builds like mass Marine and Banshee rush, but its not like mass infestor or 4-gate is any different. Im not even Marine-SCV allin, im just using marines or the surprise of fast banshees.

What is it about Terran that makes people QQ so hard?

I find Terran to be the troll race cuz of this.

Really? I thought Protoss has been the scapegoat for quite a few months now. I only get BMed about imba when I happen to spawn close positions vs a Zerg (and I agree with them in those times lol).

Because people want to think they're really smart. If they lose, it's not their fault; it must be some other factor that is causing them to lose, such as racial imbalance. Because seriously, smart people don't lose to dumb people, right?

People will whine about anything.

I've met zergs who say they won't play with me anymore because I didn't attack them and took 3rd instead. Some rage regardless of how the game played out. Even if it was a macro in which they lost by poor decisions it has ought to be terran imba right?

Let me tell you this though. Its easier to be a cheesy terran and win coinflip-wise. But if you want to be a macro terran, aka not wanting to drop a single game to anyone, it requires alot of skill, just like any race played at the very highest level.

Terran seems to make it to the most tournament finals and has as many top players as protoss and zerg combined.
9/top 20 are terran, though only 65/199 are.

Honestly though, I think protoss has a winning ratio against terran, but it's most prevalent at the lower levels.

If you think terran gets BMed play protoss LOL. Literally every pvz i win it is all about balance blah blah blah. But in reality they just are terrible at positioning.

In that Artosis self interview he mentioned how he thinks Terran's basically a complete package right now and I've always felt like this was correct and was the main reason for the hate. I feel like from a developers perspective that making a "new" protoss and zerg would be hard when compared to recreating terran for SC2. I think it at least sounds easier to make a human race since you can adopt things you see coming out of the worlds militaries for inspiration or even space agency's but doing that with protoss and zerg isn't as helpful. Just my take.

I find Terran to be easily dislikable in SC2. All the characters are dumb mongoloid space rednecks. Insects and cool alien races are more likeable to me.

Well for what its worth, TvZ close positions does net me quite a few quick wins but I feel like I lose just as many bullshit games to dts and baneling busts so idk

Not sure what you're talkin about, cuz I tell every terran I love them for playing the hardest race in the beginning of the game. As usual though I'll bm when I lose because starcraft is the only game that manages to make me rage, but it's nothing to do with terran lol. I think that ship has sailed and for a while now it's really been protoss getting all the hate.

Well...

The Terran Tech Tree provides for easy counters and tech switching while the other Tech Trees are harder to advance through and tech switch. If you need proof I will only say "Tech Lab." Terran also gets counter-units available to them earlier than other races.
Terran gets MULES, which advance your mineral collection rate very quickly. This is probably better than Chrono Boost or Spawn Larvae despite the inherent advantages in each.
Terran mobile detection is the easiest to access while other races require a higher tech level.
The Marine can shoot air and kite the other basic units, making it much more effective as the first Tier 1 unit. Stim comes in Tier 1 while Charge and Blink are Tier 2 abilities and Adrenal Glands are Tier 3.

I think that sums up most people's reasons for hating Terran.

This is so wrong...Yes, it's easier to reach the higher levels of tech tree with Terran, but terran tech switch is pretty hard.
