Hey, today I had the most awesome experience, I was going to school for the sole purpose of returning books and asking about getting work experience when I ran into the only friend at my school who can acturally play SC:BW
Anyway, seeing as he had nothing to do for the rest of the day, we both went back to my place to play SC:BW.
Now, we're both about D- players on iccup. We played a couple of random V random, until we hit a TvZ on peaks of baekdu, me Z him T
Now, he was currently using my laptop and using a book as a mousepad, while I was using my desktop computer. He finds it hard to macro/micro and I end up running speedlings into his base and GGing.
So we decide to swap computers, as I have much more experience on the laptop (used to play iccup on a trackpad  )
Then I have the greatest SC:BW game of my life. I go three hatch muta, but he attacks me with a small group of MMF. However due to some nicely timed sunkens, I hold it off. I then go into muta harras, but it fails, yet it allows me to expand 3-4 or so times.
After these expansions go down, I see that hes moving out with his MMF force. At the same time im teching to hive, I then throw down a bunch of sunkens at my nat and try to delay his attack with waves of lings. I get to hive and start making a deflier mound, as his force moves down the ramp to my nat. I force him to move back onto the higher ground, and make a couple of defliers. Right now I am totally stressed out, and completely forget to try and get lurkers. Adventurally, due to my poor macro, I am overrun by his bio. However, I learned just how totally awesome dark swarm is, and how totally awesome Z progamers are.
However, despite all that. I did not care about the loss. I felt fucking awesome after that game, and I knew I wanted to experience more of it, especially since I had just read the FinalEdit artice on saviour and how he played Z.
So yeah, TvZ is like, cool or whatever and I wanna play more. Dont ask for the replay, we end up banking 10K mineral/gas by the end of it.

yes, this is how BW was for me as well. when i played it recently (only campaign and some messing around vs AI) i realized how much more exciting this game is [than SC2]. i still love SC2 but BW is just special and incredible. and much less frustrating too. i think losing is way more fun in BW, just becaue the games are awesome.

There's a massive resurgence of BW at our school, today was the first day of the the club's starting, LOTS of people turned up to play

The thing that I love about BW is how big low supply armies feel. Unlike sc2 where everyone hits max so quickly in bw seeing a max v max army is so rare and insane and the build up to it is amazing.

aaw yeah that's sooo true. when i was playing campaign, i was like holy shit i have tons of workers, 4 bases and so much shit on the map! everything's full of zerg! i must be at twohundr....... wait..... 140 supply!?!?!!!!? such a sick feeling :D
god i'll have to play BW again soon.

Lol from a T standpoint that was my least favorite MU. If or when u figure out how to stack your mutas with an overlord and properly harass your friend has little chance of coming back.

TvZ is my favorite mu in bw, nothing else to say, the whole mmm force vs lurkers are my favorite, duo to the whole micro avoiding lurker missiles, god damn i miss it!

You have convinced me to reinstall BW after work...
If I can't find my CD I'll have to go out and buy another copy of the game...it would probably be my 9th or 10th copy of the game at this point.

you can get a free, legal copy (that doesn't work with bnet or single player) at sc.iccup.com

Congrats on the game and props to you guys for playing the awesomeness that is BW, sounded like a great game. I'd also like to throw some love at the first word in the sentence below, sealed the deal on me 5/5ing the shit out of this.

I loved zvt so much I picked up zerg to just play zvt, even when PvT is supposedly the easier matchup. There's so much insane micro that can be done on both sides of the matchup, and the most ridiculous shit can happen in this matchup, even in games that seem completely over.

BW ZvT is the most entertaining match up of any RTS game, heck, probably of any game at all.

ZvT always has a special place in my heart <3
And I totally agree, losing in BW is probably a much better feeling than winning in SC2 haha

You sure you didn't register your old copy to your B.Net account? Can just DL it through there.
I played like 5 games over the weekend for the first time since before SC2 beta. I'm so bad but it was a lot of fun.

TvZ in BW is so much fun, most exciting mu in any game imo!

Both ZvT and TvZ are great in BW! When you manage to pull of a perfect flank and dark swarm with lurker/ling/defiler is pure satisfaction.

ZvT is IMO the best match up in SC2 also, but in BW it's even better

Ahh fuck, allright now I know to lie next time I make a blog.
Also my username on iccup is bswhunter. Although I dont have my antimap hack working atm, due to iccup's servers being slow.
