EPTOk, a little background first, the local rock station has this "contest", where you send in 4 songs, and if they like your picks, they will play them for the "Fourplay at eight", and give you a tshirt.
A night or two ago I was listening to this station, and heard the radio show host say that they were getting low on people sending in fourplays, so I decided to say "Why the hell not", and sent in my 4 songs.
I tried to pick songs from all the same decade (I have no clue why ._.). The four I ended up submitting were "Holy Diver" by Dio, "Live Wire" by Motley Crue, "Detroit Rock City" by KISS, and "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden. I was hoping the first and last songs weren't too heavy for the station, but I submitted it, and continued on with my other internetting.
This afternoon, I got an e-mail back from the radio show host, saying the following:
We’re going to play your 4 songs on FRIDAY (10TH) at 8pm. Make sure you get your friends and family to listen.
. So it appears they liked my picks, and are gonna play them on-air this friday at 8pm Eastern.If anyone wants to tune in online, you can go to www.htzfm.com and click listen now.
Anyways, I am excited for them to play my picks, and I also get a free T-shirt out of it :D (I already have 1, but theres nothing wrong with owning 2)
New York is too big for me to have any chance of something like this :[
