Korean Ladder Method

Something that has always fascinated me is how pro's get so good at the game. Is it ladder? "challenge" maps? Perhaps customs with practice partners? Most players said it was a combination of all of those, but mainly just putting time in to it. Many times, though, these players are asked about how players practice on the Korean ladder since it is regarded as the hardest. The common answer between all of these, which I have heard from Artosis, IdrA, and others, is that many high level players on the Korean ladder use only a few perfectly executed timing attacks instead of the 50+ half-efficient builds foreigners use. That lead me to this thought:

Using the Korean Ladder Method to achieve mid-high masters on the NA server

Goal: Choose 2-3 timing attacks per match up (TvT, TvZ, TvP) and practice these extensively in YABOT and on the ladder until I have them as good as possible. Using only these builds (with slight variation based on scout) I want to move up from mid diamond to mid masters or higher.

Time frame: As long as it takes. I know it will be a long time, but I can put a few hours each day in to playing and I will be happy as long as I make progress.

Builds: I am looking to you guys to suggest some builds as I am not sure what the best ones for each matchup are. Some ideas I had: vP: 2 rax stim, "The Tasteless Build" (banshee/raven + marines)

Once I have a build or two for each match up I will begin practicing them in ladder and testers. Assuming this actually works out and I get better, I may stream myself playing occasionally.

Any questions, comments, etc. would be much appreciated. Suggest a build, wish me luck, tell me i'm an idiot and this will never work, it's all good to me

What league are you in atm?
What? You seek something? You wish to multiply yourself tenfold, a hundredfold? You seek followers? Seek zeros!

you're going about it wrong. forget yabot ever existed, stop playing custom games and just focus on ladder. play A LOT of ladder until your mechanics get good. You want to focus on improving every single game and forget that there's such a thing as w/l ratio and leagues. YOu just want to focus on you and nothing else! play play play play never stop in channels and talk, just play. HARDWORK is what makes a pro gamer, nothing else.

forget about those stupid methods. download replays of top terran players. not drewbie, not trump, i said top! copy exactly what they do and become a robot. you want to copy them and just mass ladder. please don't be a retard and copy the BO all the way to 100 food. Look at why tehy're doing certain builds vs different openings etc.

Yes, just practice mechanics. Diamond means your mechanics are not good enough. Spam a whole bunch and try to get higher APM.

Look above.

One of the "Tasteless Builds" as described by he and Artosis is 1 raven, 1 banshee, 2 tanks, and marines attack at 100 energy on raven. They have mentioned this in a few different series when people do things similar and Tasteless always says "This is actually the Tasteless build" etc.

As for the others, thanks for the advice. I know that mechanics are the only way to improve, and a big part of this idea was to mass ladder to gain said mechanics. This was more of an approach to ladder. IdrA and others have said that most Korean ladder players use a very limited number of builds then practice them to perfection. Because of this, I was looking for 1 or 2 build suggestions that I could use while mass gaming in order to learn them and get better lol
