With summer here and my finals done, i have all the time in the world to upgrade my computer and play a lot of Starcraft.
I am currently high diamond just made it into top 8 but i just got disconnected due to a blizzard update or something during a game and of course it gives the other guy an auto win. what else is new so i am not top 8 any more .
I also know that to many people ladder rank means absolutely nothing. But for me it is a benchmark of how far i have come and i am EXTREMELY competitive and it makes me sick to lose a game. I get angry over ever single loss i get. More when i get cheesed because their really is no way for me to learn from that game except maybe to learn how to stop the cheese.
my goal is to get to top of masters by the end of the summer and to get to grandmaster next season. I am aware that many people would say that is a far-fetched goal but if you don't have goals and a drive to get there you will just stand still. At least that's how i feel about it anyways.
And somewhere along the way i will start to enter tournaments (most likely when i hit masters) to start benchmarking my progress in a competitive scene.
So far in my stay in diamond i have manly only encounter cheese. whenever I do get a macro game i usually win, but sometimes i play a guy and I'm just like....wow.....he just outplayed the shit outta me. when i play those people it is most of the time not even close
But that is where I'm able to actually learn something and maybe pick up a new practice partner.
I always like to pick people better than me to practice with because i feel i will learn faster getting beat game after game, mostly learning what not to do.
So hopefully it will not take me too much longer to get into masters as I am an impatient fellow.
And also i am a history major who struggles in English so don't go to hard on the grammar mistakes.
Until next time.
