Silent Majority reporting in.
I've been just about every second of the TSL, with the only exceptions coming when my favourite players lose. The casting has been fun, exciting, and insightful.
The only complaint I have about the casting is that I'm still eagerly awaiting the elusive Artosis. Can't wait for him to make an appearance!

moderate temperature.

god this was too fucking funny.

I really didn't find it funny. It was rather lackluster to be honest.
This is of course my own opinion.

First time in a long while that I actually went through an entire TL thread...but this is just legendary. Can't wait for the poll to choose the caster pair for the finals: my vote definitely goes to Chill/ModerateTemperature, cause if there is anyone that can actually get over all of Chill's bias it is definitely ModTemp. I can tell that it will be a fierce fight between the two but in the end we can have a plain ol'final with plain ol'Tyler and plain ol'Mondi on the neutral map pool with "minerals being mined", I'm sure of it.
And for all the people that keep saying that Chill is "unprofessional": come on guys, give the man a break, it's not like he does grudge matches against CombatEx with Day9 talking about e-penis length in the commentary....anymore.

Then how come professional sports casters aren't biased towards one team if it isn't a world cup or the olympics? I've never seen a sports caster favor barcelona over real madrid, that's how many feel about it. I love White-Ra or HuK but those guys and i have nothing in common beside not being korean.
I guess some people have a problem with the whole "us vs them" thing, i really don't feel like a better person just cause people from my part of the world win games against people who live in a different part of the world.
I don't feel the same responsibility as a professional sports caster because I am not a professional Starcraft caster. Sorry if that offends you. I also don't feel happy when Canadians win at Starcraft, but I do feel happy when Koreans lose. To understand this, you have to have been part of the Brood War comunity.
I was never into BW so i can just trust your word for that. :D
What i kinda feel is that Starcraft needs some more professionalism. And i don't mean professionalism like shirt+tie monotone voice. I got kinda annoyed by Artosis too in GSL S1/S2 when his biased shone through alot when casting zergs. It has gotten better with time and I know sports casters that get alot of flak for biased casts and it's probably universal over all kinds of sport (unless broadcasted within a nation for the olympics/world championships etc).
That's just my opinion. I do like the TSL and you, Chill, but it's just suggestions.

i don't think that neutral = vague
it would be funny if it were a bit more relevant. say, if someone told you that you were going off on tangents about irrelevant things in the middle of casts, but this doesn't seem like a proper rebuttal to the criticism you received =/
satire depends a lot on relevancy, homie!

I'm sorry guys but did any of you notice the over powering Canadian accent during this cast. It was not to my liking sorry
|
It made me laugh so hard, gj Chill :D
|
oooo my god i love you so much chill you are my favorite human ever.
|
This feels like the neutral planet in Futurama.

I love you Chill !
Minerals being mined.
:D

i dont understand why chill wasting his time on this... i thought there are a tons of stuff to do as 1 of the head moderators of teamliquid....

People need to take themselves so f-ing serious. If people cant take a joke, gtfo the internet. Chill didnt feel the concern was valid, the poster blew it out of proportion according to him, he made a joke about it. Why is it so hard to laugh at yourselves? There is nothing worse than people righteously telling people what to take seriously and what they are allowed to make jokes about. And yes, this is somewhat hypocritical of me.

The funny part is: This might be exaggerated but true. Seriously, people want games to be casted. Why? Because they make the games more exciting. Being moderate is the death of being exciting. If you want moderate casting, you should just turn the sound off. It doesn't get any more moderate.

It is exaggerated but it isn't true.
I read that guys post about Chill and it was wasn't about being moderate and boring. Sure the post over dramatized the whole thing but the basic point was that Chill focused way to much on one side. I repeat what i said in a previous post, this is not a world cup where the caster is broadcasting nationally to a more or less homogenus group. I'm guessing people root for both koreans and foreigners, and too much focus on one side isn't optimal.
My two cent.

If think the casters should be allowed to use personal judgement on this, because they are nice enough doing something for the community. Maybe it wasnt optimal, but so what? Not everything is perfect.
Concerns may be valid, though being a drama queen about it makes you a target. Simple.

Yeah the post about Chill was way overdramatized, yet i can see the OP's point. Would have been better to handle it with a PM.
