Why have people been telling me that in WoW trade chat all this time... Well OP, I don't find this new at all. They're the same breed of human as the holocaust deniers, the anti-Semites, the KKK, the black panthers, neo-nazis, the list goes on. The only difference is we have some relative level of freedom of speech which allows these gremlins to come out of the woodwork background of national conversation. | ||

Anyway, these people aren't ignorant they know exactly what they're doing. The whole Pearl Harbour shit is just justification for their disliked of the Japanese people and in many cases the very same people will hide behind this fact to shield them from anyone commenting on their racism ("I'm not racist, its just karma for their attack on US soil"). To use a Starcraft example, its exactly the same as all those people who dislike Flash because he's a turtle. The very same people know he's probably one of the most aggressive terrans playing today but because they dislike him for beating their favourite player into the ground, they latch onto the few boring games where he builds 100 turrets to shield them from any call outs. They're not ignorant, they just really fucking hate some things and will grasp at straws to help justify their beliefs. Wonder if there is any cognitive dissonance amongst these people. | ||
