So I started reading random logs, most of the people I used to chat with (other than RL friends and family members) I stopped chatting with long time ago, and it doesn't show why we stopped chatting. One of the logs was with a friend that I remembered vaguely, I don't remember how we became MSN friends, but I remembered he was from Quebec, Canada.
I continued reading the log, it was really nice, we used to talk about our lives, the news, some politics and how we both want to improve our English (Shoutout to all of you French Canadians!), but one thing stood out in those logs. Brood War.
This guy was MAD about BroodWar, he would send me replays (which I couldn't find on the PC at all) and videos (I couldn't find either, but I vaguely remember he played Terran). He also apparently followed the pro-scene as I quote him: "on a sc site where I found this link, they say to search for julyzerg (a zerg progamer)" [The site he's referring to is Uncyclopedia.org]. And he was the one who taught me what proxy building is and how you can use barracks for vision or for rushing on island maps.
I read the whole log, the last message I got from him was in Dec 2005. I proceeded to search the whole computer for the files I remember I got from him, could only find pictures of him (2 of them) and luckily one of them had his first name on it.
So if you're called Julien, are from Quebec and had a crazy friend from the Arab world back in 2005 that you only communicated with via MSN, please drop me a PM. I hope this thread finds you!
