I, the undersigned, will not, during ladder play:
1. 6/7 pool
2. Proxy gate/rax
3. Cannon Rush
Together we can make the ladder a less cheesy place. I'm not interested in the moral validity of cheese, I'm interested in fun matches.

I, the undersigned, will learn to defend against these cheeses, rendering them generally ineffective, in an effort to discourage the use of them during ladder play.

The thing is - I'd like to work on my mid-late gameplay, and the guys who cheese all the time are generally terrible after their cheese fails..... It becomes pretty easy to beat after that..... The problem is actually beating the well-practiced cheese.....

Same all the way up to platinum (which was diamond at the time.) Today, it is much the same. Until mid diamond cheese is extremely prevalent. Thank god I am high enough now that I rarely see it. Edit: To be clear, I don't think there's any thing wrong with cheese, or even that cheese really exists at all. Admittedly, I do rage quit sometimes if I lose to it. :/

Plus the game's like 10 minutes long at the longest, so it's nice and quick, and yeah, very micro intensive. I don't understand the obsession with the alleged "macro game." I love having 5 bases, but only when the game demands it. That's very unlikely on Steppes, though it might happen often on cross position metalopolis. Adapt your gameplay. SC2 isn't no rush 20.

game 1: i played straight up game 2: i played straight, but much more agressive game 3: straight up, different tech then other games game 4: fast expand, like unsafely fast game 5: straight up ... now if I cheesed in game 6, isnt that a little more interesting then just 'who the hell is this guy' and bam cannons in your base every other game?

Also, I'm pretty sure that stuff like this is defend-able once scouted. Its all a matter of how you adapt, or react.

Cheese is fine when you play with friends who might know you a little, then it isnt pure luck of the draw, there is a little bit of mindgames to it. game 1: i played straight up game 2: i played straight, but much more agressive game 3: straight up, different tech then other games game 4: fast expand, like unsafely fast game 5: straight up ... now if I cheesed in game 6, isnt that a little more interesting then just 'who the hell is this guy' and bam cannons in your base every other game? Either that or in some kind of tournament/competitive setting. Totally agree. While the easiest way to practice defeating cheese is to face it, if you face it too much, it takes away from your ability to practice your mid/late gameplay.....

If you don't allow anyone to win with these builds they will stop doing them. :D

It doesnt look good on the cheeser's part, but it only makes you a fool to think that others should change their gameplay to your liking.
