To the leader of our swarm, You do not dwell in waters lukewarm. Your home blazes like the sun, Yet you never run. Your home is far From our beloved Char, But your success is true. Don't feel blue, Our hope lies in you.
This was kind of rushed and I probably could have refined it more, but I have a test to study for lol. This is my post, so be kind. If IdrA reads this, then please continue fighting and don't be discouraged, because Zerg can't afford to lose any battles! I don't want to seem weird, because I'm sure he can deal with it himself, but I just wanted to show some support from the community.

this truly shows how much you care

At some risk of inviting a ban, I'll simply observe that your lines don't scan,
And hope if Idra see this page, That it will moderate his rage.
|
Idra we love you Terran and toss are op But gold is yours soon
Your rage inspires Your macro gives me wet dreams Idra is fighting!

I hope that's not ban worthy, because I welcome the criticism. Since it was a spur of the moment dedication, I didn't really get a chance to perfect it. By the time it was perfect, this will have been old news.

this isn't a poem but I love IdrA the most this is now a poem

There was a player called Idra, Who loved doing some hydra But they tend to get torch'd So now he prefers to mass roach
There was a roach called Tony, Who used to gaze at the sky. Don't stare at the stars, Tony, His father would often imply
As good as a son can be, Tony quickly complied But when the void rays came near Tony and his brethren got fried
Beat that, Whole.
P.S. 10:35 vs 10:37... Come on, that's not fair!

O captain! My captain! our fearful trip is not yet done; The race we play is owned by fast rax, or hidden expansion, one; The patch is near, the nerfs they fear, zerg players all exulting, While follow eyes on muta flock, the thor spends grim days tearing. But O heart! heart! heart! O the bleeding drops of red, Where round of 32 my Captain lies, Fallen cold and dead.
O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the cheers; Rise up-for you the games are played-for you the fangirls scream shrill; For you the wins and mice of gold-for you the streams a-crowding; For you we call, the noobish mass, our eager faces turning; Here Captain! dear father! This arm beneath your head; It is some dream that round thirty sec- You've fallen cold and dead.
My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still; He has no words for noobs like me, he has only desire to kill; The patch will come, and rightfully, you will be number one; From fearful game, scouting lame, we'll come in with object won
Exult, O zerg, and cheer, O noobs! But I, with mournful head, Watch the games my Captain lost,
Fallen cold and dead.

IdrA,
Although I'm a nobody, I just wanted to say that your play really inspires me. I play Zerg because I enjoy the many decisions you have to make, and look up to you because your decisiveness is top fucking notch.
A lot of people think all you do is rage, but from watching your interviews I can see that you are actually a humble guy who knows where to pay respect. Haters gonna hate, so don't worry about them.
Keep working hard bud, I have faith in you to make it far in sc2!!

Oh Idra, knight of the swarm, with a heart so genuine and warm. Your eyes are burning with grace, a beautiful smile oh what a handsome face. No matter how bad things seem, you will never conform. You will always be the leader of our race, Oh Idra, knight of the swarm.
|
Not a real poem because of the syllable counting bullshit that I just don't do, but I took 5 minutes to write this in support of IdrA.
Early on a september morning I was ashamed to be a Protoss player As cheesey oriental toss rushed void-rays before Idra's Lair
In final game in far positions Toss eco-cheese served as ignition For a "2-robo-all-the-way" transition While hiding Nexus with ambition
To beat a player whose skill and greatness to us is not a mystery Oh god how I despise Blizzard's implementation of "match history."
|
dono about some of these poems but the purpose behind the poems is what truly counts.
idra, you have many people back home and world wide rooting for you, supporting you.

What a masterpiece. Puts all of these couplet rhyme schemes and haikus to shame XD
