I watched Flash vs free and even though free mostly got rolled free makes dragoons seem like they are not the dumbest unit in the entire history of video games! That is impressive.
I caught some GSL vods and I can sort of see how SC2 might be entertaining some time in the future? The games were pretty boring but Tasteless + Artosis kept me watching. It's really hard to tell what exactly one player's army is because all the units clump up and on top of that battles feel really deterministic. SC2 may be easy to learn and hard to master but it doesn't seem very hard to almost master.
One huge thing about watching it is the almost complete lack of "wow" moments. I guess banelings come close? Anybody decent can kite-style micro so unless you nail an army while its not being looked at they tend to just not do very much damage. Forcefields can be exciting? Not really; if you lay them well you get a bunch of their army for free and otherwise they don't do so much. I find this extremely funny in hindsight
Unfortunately, the Void Ray is the only real “wow” moment possible currently in Starcraft 2.
the game only had ONE "wow" moment... and they patched it
I'll probably start playing SC2 melee sometime down the line once the balance patches are done and all the expansions are out and they succeeded in creating some "wow" moments. But I will probably delay for as long as possible given that I really enjoy BW and
playing SC2 : your BW skill :: eating ice cream : staying in shape
so if I switch it would suck to switch back. I remember when I played the beta for like 2 days and when I came back I had lost EVERYTHING and it took me like a week to get back what (little) I had.
Signups for CBW are closing soon so if you want to play get off your ass and sign up >: 3
Hopefully I don't fail at running it >__>
Shouldn't be too too much work though... I hope

I've been laddering Iccup, right now I'm at 18-16 and D+. I've been learning bio ZvT so initially I was just playing all matchups on HBR (bad motw, gimme gimme gimme FS) and 5pooling any Protoss I encountered (fuck ZvP I blow at that matchup and don't want to learn it, sorry if I 5pooled any TL'ers) but after a bunch of games I had run in to ONE Terran (who of course mech'd) and half of the Protoss I had played had proxy gated me (hard countered by 5pool, apparently :D ) I have since been exclusively ZvZ'ing.
I'd really prefer to ZvT on Fighting Spirit - are there any C-/D+/D Terrans out there who want to practice with me korean style (ie massgaming same builds)? I have a friend who I do that with sometimes but we've played each other so much that I worry I'm learning how to ZvT against him rather than just learning ZvT in general.
Maybe I should learn ZvT on some maps other than FS - maybe Grand Line - so that I am not fucked whenever the motw doesn't have FS? Maybe not, I do not like any of the current maps other than FS. Hopefully there will be maps I like in the new set of proleague maps?
Also maybe I should try learning ZvP. Is there any stable way to play that matchup other than the standard 3-hat -> 5-hat build? I am awful at playing that build to the point that I lose to D- people and can not remember the last time I won a straight up ZvP.
I hope OSL finals produces some good games. With Flash vs Jaedong I always get the sense that if either of them were playing against any other player in the world they would win the game easily. It's pretty cool that no matter who wins we'll either have another Golden Mouse or the first ever player to reach 4 OSL titles. Jaedong fighting!
Also I have been watching a bunch of Adventure Time with Finn and Jake and holy crap I would urge you to check that show out because it is awesome.
I can not think of how to end this post so I am putting this sentence here to let you know that this is the end of this post
