The other thing I want to talk about is vikings. At 9 range they are insane. I went for a fast void ray build on scrap station and killed a bunch of stuff, but when his 2 vikings popped it was over. I couldn't make them run fast enough and if i turned around to attack he would also just turn around. Vikings seem too powerful to me.
Finally terran tanks. At the low levels a lot of my terran opponents just build bunkers, tanks, vikings and marines. Thankfully from watching day9 dailies and some awesome phoenix play in some tournaments I knew that phoenix's would be great. I wanted til my opponent unsieged his tank army then rushed in with zealots and stalkers while I lifted 2 of his 4 tanks. Able to get the easy win from that point.
I know I'm going to advance soon (I've been winning a bunch of games in a row) so I know I will start playing better players soon, so I have some questions in this matchup.
My questions in general are. (I will post a vod when i get home)
1. I like to go 1 gate into 3gate/robo and then expand when i get the first immortal and push. What kind of builds counter this and how can I react?
2. I don't know when to start upgrading. In my latest game
I got a forge right after i expanded and researched weapons and armor.
3. How soon should I expand if my terran opponent early expands? How soon should I expand if my terran opponent doesn't expand?
4. Is there a different or better way to deal with tanks other than phoenixes?
5. I always end up with a ton of energy by the midgame, but I seem to focus 90% of my attention to warping in units and telling them where to go. Are there fast ways of changing screens so that I can go back and forth between my base and my army without having to click on the screen? (I am good with hotkeys, but bad with mouse clicking as I usually end up with 40-60 apm) Also what are some good ways you remember to make sure you build units out of your warpgate every cooldown?
6. How do i improve my macro as a protoss? How many units should i have in my main before i cut probe production? I usually get about 30 and stop so that i can spend money on units instead. Anyone have any good video tutorials on protoss macro in general?
7. Not related to the title, but I seem to have trouble with being 100% accurate on mouse clicks. A friend told me to practice by clicking on minerals in the game back and forth. Are there any other good ways you practice mouse clicking?
