On a more serious note a healthy diet+some exercising should do wonders.Personally though I always sleep 6/7 hours even less with very rare occasions when it goes over 10 hours.

Do you really want a girl friend? This apply to everything. Seems like you have some prioritization to do. Maybe go from gamer to spectator could make it easier to quit playing?

Since sc2 came out i haven't been getting enough sleep so my 9-6 job is becoming a pain and my girlfriend is making me choose between sleep and sc lol (if i stiffed her then she'd probably destroy my computer). Luckily i used to be a huge stoner and if you pass out while you're high you get awesome sleep and 6-7 hours is good enough. But seriously dude you just gotta wait for the novelty of sc2 to wear off and you'll be back to normal soon More like a lack of stiffing her zing!

I currently wake up @ 5:30 am for work everyday and get home around 5:30-6:30 depending on traffic and work hours, plus I just moved in with my woman, and I can still game enough to keep me happy everyday. Just get your body use to it, I usually head to bed around 10:30-11 every night. Yes, yes but I get home at 8 or so, so sleeping at 10 basically means going home, eating, sleeping. I need to relax and game a lil' bit before I sleep or my day ain't worth it :D

Currently its like 9-5 job, workout from 5:30-7ish, make dinner and shower, starcraft 2 or girlfriend (or both ;D). And suddenly, its 1am. Definitely not getting enough sleep. I wake up as late as possible to try and get to work on time but that means buying breakfast and wasting money even though I could just as well wake up like 5-10 mins earlier to make some breakfast. But I can't because I HATE getting up in the morning. Definitely would recommend exercising during the day. It has helped me boost my energy levels throughout the day instead of randomly falling asleep. Also be sure to keep a healthy diet eat small meals regularly will help you feel less tired.

I thought ok, let's get hammered and I'm gonna sleep that way hehe. Fact #1. It works, I literally fell asleep in 15 minutes, well, not really sleeping, more like stuck in my head and my body wouldn't move. Fact #2. You don't wake up in a good shape when you go to sleep wasted. I asked friends who smoke a lot and they all told me they smoke at least 1 hour before sleeping because waking up is too hard otherwise =))

Are you unhappy at work, or unhappy with your current life situation? If the answer is yes, you should dedicate your free time to finding a NEW JOB where the hours are more reasonable. The problem is people seem to think they have to take it by their boss and slave away for the rest of their life, when it clearly isn't the case. You can ALWAYS quit. No one is forcing you to work for anyone, and if you think you have no other options, you're deluding yourself. It's your life and you only get one chance to live life to the fullest.

what youre experiencing isnt good at all, you'll break down soon. when i overwork myself, i just say "fuck the world, im not doing this shit anymore," and give myself a bad mentality about life, but i get over it with proper sleep. just take a couple of days with 7-9 hours of sleep.

also, never say you don't have an option to do X. you always have options, you always have choice. no matter who or where you are. of course in this game, cutting sc2 seems like an obvious solution from an outsider that knows little else about your life

I'm not sure if it's truly a myth, but certainly it's been questioned. There isn't much difference between 7 and 8hrs for me at all.

Job,GF, SC Job = +money - time SC = + fun - time GF = + x - money & time So I say it all depends on x + Show Spoiler + read: how good and how often Notable is also that usually the more money and time you invest in your GF the better the x is. Losing job may also mean losing GF + Show Spoiler + not enough minerals = money
