I just have to vent quickly before I implode.
[rant] Backstory: I have 4 brothers, one who has already moved out, 3 younger ones that live with me and my mom in a 2 bedroom trailer. Our parents are divorced and my dad lives in Kamploops, rarely to be seen.
I was in a great mood until about half an hour ago. Finished the last of my exams and did well, but next thing I know my mom is screaming and yelling and crying so I go out to the livingroom and my 16 yo brother is beating the shit out of my 13 yo brother for god knows what. Not that typically brotherly play fighting, he has him stuck in the corner of the couch and is going batshit insane kneeing him in the head and stuff. My youngest brother is beside him taking hits too because he can't get out of the way. Both the younger ones were crying during the whole process of course. I don't know what the hell happened but I go out there and nothing is stopping so I trying to break them up and it doesn't work too well, so now I have to resort to brute force. Everything happened so fast I don't recall too much, but my bloody thumb is killing me now. I seriously hate having to deal with this shit and want to move out, but I can't afford it and god knows what'll happen if I do. I really hate living in this small ass trailer with a family who is constantly on their edge trying to kill each other. My mom has tried to get counseling for them all, but that didn't work in the least. Lucky older brother got out while he had the chance when they were younger. [/rant]
Now I'm just waiting hoping for the lights to go out so I can sit and wait for pro league to start.

O.O
care to tell us what happened between them, or is it too personal?
seriously, good luck with that, i do not envy you. i really hope you get out of that trailer, and that nobody gets really hurt...
|
Damn... That's got to suck. Hope your 13 yo brother didn't get seriously hurt or anything.

I fight with my brother but not as extreme as that.

Thing is I don't even know what happened. I think it's related to the laptop they got last week. Last week my youngest two brothers put their money together(we're all pretty damn poor here) to buy a laptop to share, but they're constantly fighting over it and I know it because I can hear it the bitching and whining through the walls about "mommy!!!!! it's my turn on the laptop! tell _____ to get off!" "no it's not, he's lying!", etc. Sooner or later one is crying and I think the 16 yo got too pissed off and started attacking the 13yo for it.
Can't wait for the day I'm able to move out. Also, pleasantly surprised at the 5/5ing for a rant blog haha, thanks :3
going to play some emulated FFIX in the meantime

If I had a house and was in Canada I would totally let you move in.

Well, what can I say, doesn't seem the least pleasant.
Best of luck to you and your family~

Honestly, living in such a tight area will do that to people. Everyone needs space and a private area they can relax in.
As for the laptop solution. They should switch off every day. Person 1 gets it for Monday and person 2 gets it for Tuesday, so forth.

Or you could work and get the 16 yo a new laptop for his birthday, w/e.
Seems like that's the cause of the trouble, yeah? Don't get the 13 yo a new one, it'll cause the 16 yo to be jealous, you don't want the guy who has more strength to be jealous.
(then explain it all in secret to your little bro, while telling the 16 yo to leave the kid alone.)

lol really?
And btw I know people living in better conditions that absolutely could not afford a laptop almost on a whim like that.

I feel for you bro, not much of a different situation here
Talking form experience though, I can tell you to fucking deadlock the laptop in some sort of metal crate and let the little dicks know who makes the rules on when they can use it. Seriously. If somebody doesn't do that this problem will last damn long while.
Good luck brother.

Yeah... I still owe friends money from paying for my tuition lol, couldn't afford that if I wanted to.
|
Fucking rough eh... Where in Canada are you?
I've never been close to my brothers, but its never been cutthroat like that.

Kelowna, BC
want to move back to vancouver ._.

Things can be tough in life man..... but what your doing is a VERY noble and altruistic thing.
Just try to keep the good thoughts in and the bad thoughts out
Keep pushing strong because there is light at the end of the tunnel man.
PL coming up soon. i hope the team you support ass rapes its opponent for your sake

It's crazy because I'm in the opposite situation. My brother is awesome. He moved to Toronto to work (I live in Winnipeg) and he can only get so much time off work to come visit. Family is amazing if you work at it (and get lucky that your relatives reciprocate).
Even though I'm not in your situation, I still think I can offer some advice. It sounds like you're closing off your world from your family. Sounds like you have one bedroom that you escape to and the rest live in the common area. I think you need to take an active part in helping out your family sort out it's problems rather than complain about it and try to move out. As I said, a healthy family is an invaluable asset.

Nice, I'll be out in Kelowna in mid July. Hopefully it gets better for you guys... your mom sounds like she's having a time of it.
