Currently my integrated card is NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE nforce 430.
And i'm trying to install a NVIDIA Geforce 7600 GS,
However, i've tried multiple times to disable my old NVIDIA driver, but it was not successful.
I went to device managers in control panel, and disabled my old integrated graphics card, like then i can tell my monitor's desktop graphics became crappier so i thought i succesfully disabled it.
Then i opened my computer's case and put the new 7600 GS into the pci express slot, and restarted the computer and put the cable for my monitor and attached it to my new grahpics card, but nothing would show on my monitor. THen i would test it, and put the monitor cable back to my original place, and the monitor would turn back on in the same crappy graphics with my old driver disabled.
WHat am i doing wrong? I even tried unistalling the Nvidia drivers from my add/unistall programs in control panel, but it still wouldn't work...

Why is it after i disable my old nvidia card, my grahpics still work? but it just looks 10x as worse? shouldn't it not work at all?

I think you only disabled the drivers for it, but there's always some basic low end way for the computer to process graphics, hence you see graphics but it just looks rubbish.

you have to go into bios and set the video input from integrated graphics to the PCI-E slot has nothing to do with drivers

I'm pretty sure you have to uninstall the drivers, not disable the card.

Does the computer boot up normally, but the screen goes black on the login screen?

I tried unistalling the driver too, but still same problem.
THe new grahpics card's fan turns when its plugged, so i assume its compatible.

I had the same integrated piece of shit you were using, and I pretty much installed my new gpu the exact same way. There could be any number of reasons why it isn't working correctly, but have you made sure your PSU provides enough juice for your new graphics card?
edit: I uninstalled drivers & disabled the gpu.

I've been looking on the internet of the 7600 GS and it looks it doesn't need any extern psu connectors. So it's max usage is 75 wat and your pc should support it
