I'm looking for some pull-up bars. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking for the one that you drill into the door frame, but if you guys (who probably know better than I do) recommend the portable ones, then I'll consider it too.
Here are some I found on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=pull up bars&x=0&y=0
Redirecting me to some good workout forums will work, too. I don't mind looking through the forums to figure this out. I just don't know which forums are good ones. Thanks!

i have one in my basement that i use often but i'm not quite sure of the model. i'll check it out later. you don't have to drill it or anything it just hangs above the door frame it's great.

I have an iron gym. You just poke a little holder into your doorframe and hang it from there and it works. It's totally rock stable. My friends have the same model too so I'd recommend it because it works great.

I was looking at the iron gym, too. I was just skeptical about how stable it would be because you hang it there. Good to hear the ones that hang on the frame are working though.

i used the iron gym as well, but recently got a squat rack w/ overhead bar so i dont need it anymore. Its more stable than it looks, the weight presses in towards the wall above the doorframe instead of down on the frame itself. Im pretty light tho, and it does have a weight limit like the poster above me mentioned.

Thanks, guys. Seems like the iron gym is the way to go.

You even get some extra shame with it

Only if you kick little kids off the bars while you're doing it.

+1 on this. Don't need ones that can screw in... the leverage ones are fine.
