The fun thing is that a good amount of them are probably cloistered and/or fatties and would be mortified if any of us saw their picture, even being the majority group. Also, cloistered fatty is my new favorite term.
Sometimes it really sucks being one of the only girls in a group. This collective attitude is one of the reasons there are so few girls in gaming in the first place. A lot of girls actually flock to it, which probably makes the problem even worse. I get the feeling that Frag Dolls probably make things worse for female gamers.
Ugh, it's just frustrating that it all affects me like it does, even when I'm conscious of it. I watch these other streams and people are all commenting on the player's ability and skill at the game, not their presumed appearance. Just.... grrr My suggestion, on the internets, is to be vulgar and sexist right back. That's probably a horrible suggestion, but if it were me at the center of attention, it'd be entertaining.

I was on that stream and kinda shocked at the peoples responses to hearing a female voice..I guess I'm used to the relative manner that I expect from TL.
Btw I didn't know your a girl.. I was wondering who that female voice was that was going on several of the streams I've watched... reminds of this one time a saw a chick kicking ass in counterstrike in the local internet cafe...

Remember a quote from Alan Shore that women will be offended if they are objectified, but women will be more offended if they are not objectified, which means they are not sexually attractive to men.

Yes there are lots of morons out there, especially on the internet, but really all places.
The important thing is to get past it and not to get sucked in to their level. The saddest thing to see is someone reacting so strongly they start to do stupid things themselves. (although, sometimes the ones that react stupidly are actually annoying/stupid already :o)

Kids with nothing better to do than pester people and make random stupid jokes that everyone will understand. It's always easier to pick on the minority. From my experience (my own gf plays games as much as me) that particular breed of female is quite a lot more fun and down to earth than the rest of the bunch so thumbs up from me.

Guess you could only use written chat. Make a nick that don't indicate your gender. I don't recall ever being asked for my gender in game.
