So, over the past month or so i have been debating whether or not to do this. Now, when i say "shave my head" i do not mean completely bald. I just want it to get pretty short. Probably going to use the longest guard on the clippers.
here is a picture of me with semi-longer hair than i have right now
obviously im going to keep the beard but i might have to shorten it up a little.
i am just iffy about what i would look like, and i know "it will grow back". It's a pretty big change since I've had long hair my entire life.
hopefully i can get some thoughts and opinions :D

personally i just did something similar to that but a little longer, and i miss my hair. its gonna take a while to grow back and im sad

I firmly believe that every guy should try shaving their head once in their life. I think for some reason it gives you a new perspective on things/life. You can always grow it back out. I did it the first year of grad school for maybe a half a year or so and it was just a refreshing change.

I shave my head once a year my annual hair cut shave it at spring have it grow back for winter :D

I went from having a lot of hair to having very short hair and I can say I am much happier with it short. It's all personal preference, but I think you should go for it.

Get a clean haircut but don't shave your head. Trim the beard to something shorter and better kept but keep it, beards are in. Especially in the winter - see Gerard Butler or Clooney.

i once had really long hair, like down to the middle of my back, then went for the opposite. and the only type of haircut i do now is down to 0mm whenever the length starts bothering me again, which is pretty fast, cause that inbetween length (too long to count/look good as short hair but too short to count as any kind of haircut) is just meh.
growing hair back always requires you to go through that meh phase.

I'd keep the hair man.. it looks good on you and you seem comfortable with it.
Plus i don't really think form your photo you can pull off the tough guy image that your friend seems to have.

But.. why do you want to cut in the first place? If you you even considered it so far as to create a blog about it on TL.. id say you want to do it. So just do it.
If you don't like it it will grow back
Plus you get t experiment with other styles as it grows back.

Try it, I shaved my head for about 4 years and just stopped recently cuz I need a new look. But ya I loved it, so easy to maintain and I liked the look as well.

I usually shave my hair down to something alike to that second picture - 1/3rd inch or so. Then I let it grow 'till it reaches your length at pic 1. That way I get both the styles, and it's awesome.
That being said, your first pic is pretty cool. Keep your hair till it starts getting annoying, then shave it down.

I'd say either keep the hair (ehhh), or shave your hair and keep the beard clean (that is, shorten it a good amount). You'll look pretty classy after doing that, I think.

yes, ten thousand times yes.
i went from having hair down to my shoulders to a buzz. greatest feeling ever. now i keep it around 1-2 inches long, but that fresh feeling is indescribable. trust me, just do it, its only hair anyways right?

As many have said already: keep the hair, but trim that beard. Beards rock, but only if they are well-groomed.
