So, my previous blog entry was a fun little "first person" adventure through a counter-cheese.
Lots of you liked it, and I was actually going to another one, but I am really not in the mood at the moment.
So I thought I'd post a simple replay of the useful skill I have. Apparently, it's very good toi have.
This is probably the first game in a while that I've played that went the distance, and the terran I played against really deserved it I think.
He didn't apply any pressure, his seige tank drop was fun, but really didn't do that much.
I had terrible macro, I know, I know, please don't eat my babies for that.
On the flip side, so did he, so it's all good I guess.
Was it the right decision to head to carriers at the point I did? Or should I just have tried to go in? After watching a couple of replays of (obviously) higher class people, on Desti I understand it's actually better - if in a better position - for the Protoss player to just focus more on bases instead of "going in for the punch" attack thing.
So I kinda did, yes I know I should have gotten the closer 3rd base first, I'll admit that - like I said, I had terrible macro the whole game, which is sad because usually I pride myself on my macro skills. Which is why I previously posted about counter-cheese, because previously I've been terrible at countering cheese.
So anyway, back to the main question - was it the right time to switch to carriers? I didn't want to get into that spot that seems to happen on Destination of "oh lawd, the terran has tanked/mined up his half of the map, and turreted up, wut do lol". So I figured seeings I had the min (bad macro) I'd go to carriers.
It was obviously on some level the right thing to do, using my signature move of a carrier recall (lol).
Next time I get a short, funny game, I'll post it, and do a little first-person fun for you guys.
Cheers
Edit: Lol @ my recall onto the tank group when he pushed up the left side
