And even if you're in a huge macro maxed battle, Ultralisks will still kill Marines in three hits whether or not Medics have that upgrade so, late game, won't really help that much and can be used for another Siege Tank or couple of Marines that can be put into bunkers to defend a expo from non-swarm lings. | ||

Cosidering TvZ going into 3tank/1vessel push, would it be more benefitial to start upgrading energy before irradiate considering mutalisks are no longer an issue? Seems to me having your 2nd or 3rd vessel popping out with irradiate almost ready, or even d-matrix faster can be quite a big boost fighting 2-3 defilers if push doesn't break the zerg. (irradiate will obviously be late too, but not sure how the relative timings work there, halp) | ||

And really, you should never build up that much energy on your vessels if you are active around the map. The energy boost is nice, but unless you are losing a lot of vessels -- which you shouldn't -- you should have enough vessels with the energy capabilities to accomplish what you want. | ||
