It had the look of a huge movie theatre the size of a football field, with a stand protruding into the middle of the hollow. The power is still on, the dim yellow lights powered by some failing power source that's designed to last 100 years. In the middle of the clearing was a giant tubular plant, veins arching all over the top of the cave, rooting into the soil. It is withered brown and only spots of oily green patches remains, where some half dissolved people are attached to it.
In the protruding stand we found rows of desks, which are full of drawers. Men were shoved into the drawers headFirst, their pink body, shoulders and below, are still outside. Pulling a man out of a drawer we found his head slide out smoothly, as it's attached to a long rectangular grid full of electronics, much like sliding hardwares out of a super computer. Rows of rows of humans with their head stuck in desks.
The TV was on, where the lord of the city was explaining something that has gone wrong: "I'm afraid we are at the end of our world. Our city was powered entirely by the plant deity, the bulb plant, that required human tributes. So in a sense we are very self-sufficient, we just have to convince good people to die over a good cause. But alas, we have ran out of people..."
