foodnetwork.com epicurious.com download every season of the program "Good Eats" on torrent actually I can't really vouch for the healthiness of the recipes on those sites, but it will help you learn to cook your own food, which will be a big benefit. Learning about general nutrition is probably harder, since everyone seems to disagree on specifics, but there's common sense like fats/oils = bad, fresh veggies and whole grains = good (in general).

I find it funny that your icon is a snorlax lol. But really, good post. How did you manage to get these sites btw? Did you google it or someone told you or something.. I really want to know lol

I've been using this DS game called Personal Trainer: Cooking for my recipes lately and that's been a mixed bag. Nothing beats learning from actual chefs (and mothers)

Are there any outstanding seasons that you'd recommend? Download the episodes of things you believe you'd be cooking most often. If you buy a lot of fish, chicken, and rice, then look at the episodes "Hook, Line, and Dinner", "A Bird in the Pan", "Fry Hard II: The Chicken", and "Do the Rice Thing" The good thing about Good Eats is that they don't just show you a few exact recipes, but it gives you general knowledge about why cooking things a certain way works best, and which ingredients compliments certain dishes better, so that you can apply that knowledge to come up with your own recipes. I guess it'd be a safe bet though to download the earlier seasons as they have the most general knowledge. As the show goes on and they have less things to cover, they start going into more specialized dishes (gyros, tamales, baklava, coconut cake, etc.) to keep the show fresh. Although it does give exact recipes as well, so if improvising isn't your thing, you'll have something to go off of. Edit: You can actually find a few episodes on youtube. + Show Spoiler + Knowing how to make various sauces will make coming up with new dishes a lot easier.

I'd checked the wikipedia page but not seen the list of episodes. Thanks for the tip!
