And now brazil is on pace for double digits against south korea. So for all the upsets and shocks, unless morocco pull another surprise, it's going to be the same all-europe-south-america quarterfinals again.

It might be a small chance but it would amuse me enormously.

So for all the upsets and shocks, unless morocco pull another surprise, it's going to be the same all-europe-south-america quarterfinals again. This is how it usually goes, too. Group stages have a bunch of upsets pretty much every WC. But the knockout stages very consistently go as expected. 2018 you saw Russia beat Spain on penalties, but that's literally the only result I'd consider an upset from the knockout stage of any world cup since 2002. I mean, there are 'arguably slight underdog' teams advancing but aside from Russia beating Spain in 2018, there aren't really any examples of a top 10 European or SA team losing to a team that isn't top 10 euro/sa.
