As you probably have noticed, JTV is current offline. Due to a security issue, it was possible for unauthorized users to access JTV broadcaster accounts. The JTV network is offline while they work to resolve this. I do not have any further information or an ETA.
If you are a broadcaster, you should check your email address that was registered on JTV. If you see password reminder emails, it is likely that an unauthorized user accessed your account. As I do not know if JTV are able to roll back any unauthorized changes, I recommend that after JTV comes back up, you thoroughly check your account settings for any unauthorized changes to your data - most notably your email address, chat channel moderators / ban lists and authorized sub-streamers. I would recommend you do this even if you did not receive any password reminder emails.
I will update this OP with any official update from JTV as needed.
UPDATE (15:45 EDT): Justin.TV is back online.
15:53: And down again... and up. Seems they are still working on things. System is still not entirely secure, don't verify your account information just yet.
UPDATE (16:15 EDT): JTV confirms no passwords have been compromised, only temporary account access was possible.
UPDATE (17:45 EDT): Justin.TV is back online (heavy load), all accounts have been logged out so the system should be secure now. I'd recommend broadcasters verify their account settings are all normal now. And... down again.

Thank god, in respect that i thought it was me. No more watching streams for the night

This is not related to any hacking groups or anything. Please don't post baseless speculation, all the information we have is in the OP.

I haven't but just in case others have, is this email link to the justin.tv site, or to a site containing malware?

Aw, on the day I decided to start seriously streaming too . Oh well, hopefully the service will resume later today so I continue failing on the ladder. Thanks for the information r1ch, I always like knowing when my security could have been breached lol.

Well it's hacking and they were targeting gaming related stuff the past two days (HoN, LoL EVE). It's not that big a jump.

Oh yay....
Checking accounts now, thanks for the heads up R1CH!

Thanks for the info. R1CH... how so awesome?

There was a bug in the password reset feature on JTV that allowed people to access your account. The email itself is a confirmation that someone used this bug; it is genuine / safe but not the actual issue.
