A little while ago, I took a look at some random threads on the SC2 Battle.net site. I had to lol at a certain post saying Day 9 is annoying at MLG.
Really? I was hardly ever annoyed by the way he casts. His casting may not be perfect though least he is consistently good. I may have followed the SC2 progaming scene recently, but I do know that Day 9 has done a great deal of service to the Starcraft gaming community. From his Day 9 Dailies to his casting at various events like TSL, MLG, etc. I do not see any reason why people would dislike him other than the fact that they are jealous of his fame. Though to each his own opinions I suppose.
And what is worse, the entire thread has become a flame war over balancing issues, QQs, etc. I wonder where the heck is a report but I can't seem to find anything so far. Which is why I prefer to stick to Team Liquid's site if I wanna know about SC2 and it's happenings because at the very least the community is awesome. :D
Anyway's I should get some rest. Got a big day since I got a job interview to go to. GLHF and Happy Blogging!

They started a thead because they found him annoying. What's not to understand?

Some people just don't like some people, it's a fact of life.

Yeah, that's true. People are entitled to their opinions. :/

I don't get this community's desire to hivemind (As in "We should all have the same opinion on certain popular things and it's a travesty if we don't").
Valueless: You starting a thread complaining about a thread you read on another forum. Huge value: You starting a thread explaining that you're a huge Day9 fan for reasons A B and C showcased in Youtube videos X Y and Z.
Unfortunately, you've decided to go with the former

I would hesitate to say the latter is HUGE value. Certainly comparatively more value but....

You are expecting far too much out of an internet community.

Never am a huge Day 9 fan. As I have mentioned I only started gaining an interest in what he does ever since I got SC2.
I wrote that blog just to get it outta my chest. Hopefully I don't instigate a flame war of sorts. Should that happen, locking this blog will be nice as I can't delete it myself.

Since when is not liking his casting = not respecting what he has accomplished as a person in the SC2 community?

The bnet forums are a cesspit of stupidity, down there with stream chat and youtube comments. better off just ignoring it for the good of your mental health
