Fan Pictures
DES only posted 3 photos of yesterday's MBC match. But of course, MBC fans took pictures of the match and post-match fan meeting too… thanks to the awesome HERO Gallery for these:
Kespa Friendly Athletics Meet
Kespa held another athletics meet on 30th May. Instead of competing for their regular teams, all progamers were divided into 4 main teams, competing in events like a parachute relay, football, jumping rope, mini football etc that contributed to an overall points tally. Lim Sura won the overall women’s MVP prize, which was a Samsung netbook.
More MBC pictures HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.
Bisu also met up with Saint (whom he says is a hyung he really likes and is close to) at the Athletics Meet and joked to him “so you’re still playing lately?” Ouch. Saint looked really upset with that joke. Sea, who was beside them, laughed like crazy. Anyway, Bisu felt a bit sorry about the joke [or so he says]. According to Bisu, Saint just can’t seem to display the same skill he shows in practice in televised matches.
I think this calls for a write-up on Saint… will work on it for the next update.
Gwak is back!
Yes, Gwak is back after being MIA for a few months. Sadly, the other rookie reported to have left, Bassen/Model, is not back. Gwak is in this picture below, 3rd from right…
히어로 외모원탑 Poll
I’ve been tracking a particular MBC fan event for awhile. Since 7th May, a poll for MBC fans had been held outside the MBC studios on match-days.
The lead-up to this event:
On HERO Gallery, a certain MBC progamer goes by the nickname of “히어로 외모원탑” [HERO Weh Mo Onetop, which basically means HERO's best looking]. For some time, there’s been much talk about this as the above-mentioned progamer is said to be rather unphotogenic compared to real life. So some MBC fans decided to put this to a vote and decide this issue once and for all, asking fans to cast votes on who they thought was the best looking progamer on MBC. They joked that they wanted to do this before Ruby returns next season.
Initially they held the voting on match days outside the MBC studios but then non Starcraft fans randomly came by and started voting as well. So in the end, from the votes casted on match-days, they narrowed down the list of HERO members to the following 12 finalists and asked fans to cast votes between 24th-26th May on the fan café website instead:
Finalists:
Pusan
Mumyung
Saint
Sea
Jaehoon
Check
Wow
Sang
Tiny
Tyson
Hyun
Zerg[kal]
2 fans who voted for the winner were also randomly chosen (by the winning progamer) to have a meal with him.
In the end, the player otherwise known as 히어로 외모원탑 did win. Overall, the results were not surprising for MBC fans.
And so the top 5 are as follows...
1. Kim Jaehoon/Jaehoon (50 votes 16.3%)
2. Yum Bosung/Sea (48 votes 15.7%)
3. Oh Se Ki/Tiny (46 votes 15.0%)
4. Park Subeom/Tyson (40 votes 13.0%)
5. Go Seokhyun/Hyun (36 votes 11.8%)

*Warning: Bnet Attack spoilers ahead.....
Jangbi on Bnet Attack Part 2 + Show Spoiler +
1st game is against Jaehoon.
Jaehoon played Jangbi in the “nemesis” segment of Bnet Attack on 29th May… and Jangbi got rolled. They also played a 2v2 together in the “from nemesis to friend” segment. Jangbi off-raced as zerg with Jaehoon’s protoss. They won that game as well.
Sidenote: Apparently Jaehoon practiced almost exclusively for PvZ in preparation for yesterday's match against Woongjin. He played only 1 game of PvP during practice.
Sea also appeared on Bnet Attack on 31st May. In the “nemesis” segment, Sea played a protoss user. He knew it was a teammate but it couldn’t have been Pusan or Jaehoon (because Jaehoon played in the previous episode against Jangbi) so his first guess (as was mine) after a series of “hehehe” appeared in the chat, was that the nemesis was Tyson. But it soon became clear it wasn’t Tyson. In the end, Sea thought it was Saint because Saint’s off-race is supposedly really good. But it turned out to be Shark (under the instruction of Tyson and Jaehoon) whom Sea was playing.

3 Fangirls, 1 Progamer and Dinner at Outback
The 29th of May was a busy day for Jaehoon. At 1pm he played against Jangbi on Bnet Attack and in the evening he had dinner with 3 MBC fangirls (the two winning fangirls + the manager of Jaehoon’s fan café, who is also the manager of the HERO fan café).
The fans arrived around 6.30pm. Jaehoon arrived a few minutes later, wearing a cap [Jaehoon likes caps] and carrying a blue bag. The reason why he was late was because he lost his wallet.
Because they felt so awkward, both fangirls hardly said anything to Jaehoon directly. The manager of the fan café introduced Jaehoon as 외모원탑 and they went to Outback for dinner.
Part of their conversation was about Sudden Attack. Not long ago, Jaehoon started playing FPS games, specifically Sudden Attack. The rookies at MBC are really good at Sudden so they taught Jaehoon how to play it. The team Jaehoon is on (MBC intra-house games) also recently won a match at Sudden. Sea also plays a lot of Sudden Attack too.
According to both fangirls, Jaehoon really likes eating meat but hardly touched his pasta. Dinner at Outback is quite expensive and the girls felt bad for Jaehoon because he lost his wallet earlier and still had to pay for an expensive meal [they went dutch].
There weren’t many interesting details from the dinner because Jaehoon is quite shy and the fans were too.
Cyworld Updates
Hyun posted these pictures on 1st June. Jaehoon, Tyson, Hyun, Ruby and Shark outside a mall.
Hyun got Lasik during the break, hence the sunglasses. You look better with glasses, Hyun. Actually, so does every other player who got Lasik this season.
Jaehoon and Tiny
Jaehoon wrote on his cyworld main page: “Let’s not rest for 1 month”.
Then Tiny writes on Jaehoon’s cyworld guestbook: “Stop meeting girls a little”.
Aah, HERO players…
Lazy and Zerg[kal]: When God Jae Woo meets the Miryang Toss
They’re a really funny duo. I managed to retrieve these pictures from Lazy’s cyworld before he closed the photo album.
Some months ago, Lazy uploaded the above pictures onto his cyworld with the title “God Jae Woo”. Lazy joked that Zerg[kal] had too much spending money at hand so he decided to “pay” one of his teammates to cut his finger-nails. Hence the nickname "God Jae Woo". lol
Here are some other funny pictures Lazy and Zerg[kal] took of each other on a rest day in the MBC practice room just last week.
Have a good week ahead!
