I kinda went off to a rocky start in my first match of the day. It was a ZvP in Typhon Peaks. Because of some framerate issues I have had with my laptop, I was a bit delayed on production for a couple of seconds. By then, I was scouted first at the 2 minute mark. With the way my opponents Probe went moving about, I assume he was going to cheese me or something, which he did by placing about five cannons near my base. and a gateway. Thankfully, I had a couple of upgraded lings and roaches to back me up.

You would think that because of such a failed cheese, he would have quiited right then and there. But nope. He's still staying. We laughed about it til I got the resources I need to take down the last structures since he used his zealots to kill a majority of my drones. Had it not been for my queen and my spine crawlers, I would have been done for. XD

5 cannons and a gateway? what kind of cheese is that lol :D i would be very dissapointed if you lost to that

I screwed up on that part. As I was taking down the opponent's base, the gateway right next to my base was spawning like 3 zealots and it took down about half my drones. So production was slowed down but at least I got enough resources to make more drones

Can't watch the replay cause I'm at work. I'm assuming the Protoss proxy gated you with 5 cannons defending the gateway?

If you get cannoned in as Zerg, the proven strategy is to hide a Hatchery using your scouting Drone. I've had it done to me (but I didn't proxy or cannon rush) and it's super gay but it works. My friend also managed to beat CombatEX, King of the Cheese, this way.

Another exploit you can use is if he doesn't have you pinned to your creep entirely, run some Lings/Roaches by his stuff and proceed to kill his Probes and Nexus, which should be undefended if you attack early enough. That's the worst problem with a proxy rush - it can be ignored.
