After I lost 3 consecutive Terran matches, I thought of switching to Zerg and start fresh from there. I have seen my share of good Zerg players on the streams, and I wonder if I can pull off a solid build. But first, with me being a Zerg on the Bronze League, I thought of doing the most basic tactic ever, which is the 6 Pool Rush.
After like 2 Versus AI matches to get the hang of the hotkeys, I played on Quick Match against a Protoss player. I tried out 6 Pool and by some miracle it actually worked. I expected some form of resistance to be had but it seems that I won this match out of a fluke. :/
I know that since 6 Pool is an All In tactic, should it fail, I should go "GG" right away, but since I am just starting out as Zerg, I am allowed this. But I hope I can get me a solid build to try out as Zerg.
I know that it takes a bit more effort to play as Zerg in terms of macromanagement, but I think they are starting to grow on me and hopefully I can improve on playing as Zerg overtime.

You should check out Sheth's stream, he goes over a lot of strategy and its really good to learn

6 pooling doesn't get you better at zerg just try learn a all around good strategy such as 2 base muta as someone suggested and go from there.

ZvZ
9 pool. 13 gas. Banelings nest after you get speed. Roach warren whenever you feel you're bored of baneling vs zergling. Roach wars till someone can tech to air and not die OR Roach wars with better upgrades and infestor support.
ZvP
14 hatch 14 pool Throw a spine as soon as the hatch is done. Drone up a bit. Throw down 3 more spines around the 6 minute mark, and 2 extra queens. Use extra queens to spread a bit of creep and tech to liar. As liar is teching get 4 gas. Throw down spire as well as 2 more queens and 2 more spines and sprinkle with zerlings. Take a third. Make 11 muta to harrass. Make a second batch of 11 muta. Keep building up an insane muta ball - keeping him in his base. Secure more expansions. Mass roach roll.
ZvT
Should be plenty of guides on this.

I know that much. I just wanna give it a shot. But as I said, I am still working on a good build that I can do easily. And as far as I can tell, there are plenty of good Zerg players out there to even pick. I could go for Sheth or HayprO

Btw, I like this build so far. Gonna take a bit of pracitce for me though since I am still getting into being a Zerg.

Regarding what Pwnographics said... don't go 14 hatch vs toss unless you have a deathwish.

I found that build to be a bit off myself. I don't think I would try it just yet.

This ^^ especially in Bronze.. When opening hatch first was popular a few seasons back (GSL time) before they changed the map pool.. I tried this and found before my hatch got halfway done.. I'd been 2 gated and didn't have the resources or time to stop the pouring in of Zealots. Not ideal.. I open 14 Gas 14 Pool Speedling in ZvP and ZvT. Can never tell what wonders you'll face in the lower leagues, best to play safe and punish them with better play, than anything gimmicky. ZvZ I scout early and decide based on what I see when to Pool. So random at times.
Personally I don't muta often vs Protoss due to the Mass Stalker ball. I've found Roach + Hyrda much better at dealing with most protoss shenanigans lower league recently.

Don't take all the advice here way too harshly. It's ok to just bust out the 6 pool in one of your first matches just for giggles or to try it out, but it's true that to really get better at the race you should be looking to practice some of the expand builds since zerg really needs to be ahead on bases to win. Bronze can be a tough league, with all the cheese/all-ins it may seem like you're hitting a wall with your economic builds but if you can stick with it having an economy based style will just crush so many players in bronze. (Take it from me, I used to be one not long ago) But have fun with it, after a crazy long game go ahead and 6 pool the next Protoss opponent you face, show him how UP his race is in the first 4 minutes of the game. Just have fun, that's what this game is all about and if you keep at it, you'll improve for sure. GL!
