There is something about Starcraft II that makes it a very interesting game for me to play online. Maybe it's due to me getting nervous everytime I found a player during a Quick Match. I used to panic alot whenever I am playing, which is a sensation I never really got to experience with one other genre that I play the most, First-Person Shooters. In a shooter, it's easy to play as there is not much you need to learn as you play. In an RTS, I get pretty tense and I would lose focus and I always have this tendency to quit right now before it's too late. But I didn't!
I love the tense sensation when playing as a noob. It's a very common feeling that I might get over with in time. I will learn as I play more matches, though it might take longer considering the stuff I have to go through in RL.
So far, now that I am almost getting over with me being tense, I kinda started to take things slow. Since I am on placement matches anyway, I thought of experimenting what of stuff should I do. On the first match, I was able to scout the moment I finished up my first supply depot while I had my second SCV build me a barracks. On my second to third placement match, I thought of going for a constant assault, but it bit me in the as I got rushed my zerglings. On the fourth match, I was trying to improve my defenses only to find out that I was doing the right stuff on time to make a solid defense.
So, after I lost my first four matches, I don't feel as discouraged as I used to when I first played Starcraft on prepaid. I just need to play more and learn from my mistakes and have fun, whether I win or lose. If I get pissed, there is always a can of coka-cola to cheer me up.
Anyways, that's all I gotta write for now. Thanks. ^^
