It was tons of fun, got to meet lots of people I didn't know lived around here, and helped some people who never played SC2 play!(It also had Halo Reach and Black Ops, so a lot of those players also signed up for SC2).
I was afraid I was going to be nervous, but it wasn't too bad. During each of my games I had a good 20-30 people standing behind me watching, but I didn't even notice them until after the games. :3
And it wasn't a walk in the park....for the most part. The first 4 rounds were filled with quite good players...but the person organizing it decided to put all the new players on one side, with the experienced players on the other to make it 'fair' for the newer guys...What ensued was me playing about 10 games or so that were fairly hard(20-0, I'm like the Naniwa of Mustang!!), and then a Finals which were...easy to say the least. Friend bribed me to Ultra rush one game, and Nuke rush the other, which I did. And actually he held up quite well, for someone who had never played outside of that day. He was maxed at about 18 mins(He asked nicely for NR15, which I gave =o) in the first game, and had 3-4 BCs in the second by the time I attacked.
But, yeah. Was pretty tiring, but I came out as the Winner of the 2011 CVTC LAN tourny :3, and, in my own mind, the best SC2 player in Mustang Oklahoma(Pop. 20). Woooots!
I do believe this basically means I'm obviously qualified for GSL Code S.
