The one man who seems to soar above the rest. He is very analytical with his style of play and is able to crush his opponent, not by cheesy tactics, but by reading the enemies plays and reacting very sharply to ensure victory. I am of course talking about Greg Fields, more commonly known as Evil Geniuses Idra. Greg preformed at the Arizona Open today and I must say, his performance was stellar. He was able to have such a great time talking with his friends and manager with no trouble mulitasking his way to first place. + Show Spoiler +Idra watching SKU play his opponent. Win after win, he just knew what needed to be done, and he was able to execute it exactly how it should be. Most people may pass judgement on Idra, saying he is a bad mannered player. In real life however, Greg is very forthcoming, smart, and actually a really kind gentleman. + Show Spoiler +Greg playing while his manager, Scott looks on. Reluctant to pickup on the Zerg race myself, Idra makes the opponent wish he never even picked up the game. He has many many supporters, online and by his side. People were constantly messaging him while he was playing his matched and he stayed calm and consistent the entire tournament. He is definitely a player to look out for if you're ever to play in Starcraft II professionally. The tourney, over all, was a lot of fun and I'm sure Greg will be visiting us again, his local fans, for another round of LAN skirmish. + Show Spoiler +Greg winning first place with his custom dog tag that reads Zerg on the front and Idra on the back. However, for now, we will allow him to spread his wings and soar into TSL3 and beyond. + Show Spoiler + Semi-finals and finals of Open Post-interview with Idra

Yeah he seems like a nice guy... And his analysis of the game impresses me every time!
How did Skew do? I'm really curious about that guy!!!
He lost to DTs.
Also you might want to post a link to the VoDs if they are available yet.

IdrA is a very cool in person, I was talking to him half the time I was there about random shit and strats he never once said stfu or let me focus. great guy. Even though I made it to the top 6 and lost to him 0-2 its still amazing to be able walk up to him and shake his hand.

That's cool. And with IdrA you probably don't have to worry wether or not he was annoyed but just didn't say anything 'cause if he was. I'm sure he would tell you to shut up

Always enjoy watching IdrA play. Thanks for the stream guys . Wish I lived in Arizona so I could play in a LAN with Greg and have the pleasure of meeting the man.
Greg looks like a boss with that dog tag bling!
very interesting stuff. im especially suprised at how interesting the interview was since you guys looked so uncomfortable there :>
Were you guys playing on CRT monitors??? hahaha. Although I was only able to tune in for a couple games, I really enjoyed watching. Seems like it was a really well run tournament!
cant those people in the background shut up when your trying to do an interview?
apart from that, always good to hear idras thoughts on why other people are bad <3
I've always been a huge IdrA fan and hope to one day meet him at an event.
Idra rocks. I met him at MLG DC and we talked for afew minutes. Chill guy, had a big banana grin on his face after winning. He talked to many fans and gave an interview to one fangirl before his official interview.
Anyone that knows him only for his BM is ignorant.
Idra was a super chill guy, allowing people to take pictures and he answered so many questions, I even overheard him theory crafting some with a couple of the fellow players. This small of a lan he was more laid back than I think he would be at MLG and such so it was very cool to meet him and SirScoots. He's not as BM as people would think he is he is actually very nice in person.

IdrA is my idol,
and nice an interview! always love reading stuff from idra
This is awesome to see such a great player going to a smaller tournament like that. Anyone there was really lucky!
It seems like Idra is a lot more relaxed and happy to be back in the states after such a long time in Korea. Cant wait to see him crush TSL and NASL!
So great to see this.
IdrA is a nice guy, he just gets pissed sometimes, and looks bad manner. I wish I could meet him someday.

Nice write up! Love to see IdrA doing well! :D

IdrA is a good mannered handsome badass. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just wrong.
Nice writeup, congrats Idra on the sweet dog tag bling! Also my mind is blown, I haven't seen a crt monitor in ages.
