Korea use to be pretty low on the totem pole in terms of other countries, but years and years later after the Korea war... Korea is rapidly becoming a stronger economical nation so of course they're going to be proud of that and want to show the world that they can contend with countries like the United States. Oh yeah and women need to be virgins? LOL... umm yeah I've been in Korea over 3 years and I don't think I've known a Korean virgin chick that's 20+ of age. Even my ex girlfriend told me that virgins don't exist. *shrugs* Anyways I hope you enjoy Korea. It's a fun country. Cheap alcohol (soju), lot of good nightlife all over the peninsula, good SC scene of course, good Street Fighter IV scene if you're interested in it, and etc.

Recently there have been rising population of rebellious kids in the Korean student population. Korean kids have been getting more and more violent and unruly lately... I expect to see some social problems with this generation of teenagers.

KEB is probably the most foreigner friendly of the banks. Chill's story sounds horrendous, don't know of any other banks with those kinds of charges :O If you have any questions feel free to PM me I'll help as best I can

Depending on the area you live apartment costs will vary. Get out here and gimme a call I'll help you out. I think SKT is great. Galaxy S2 is coming out around May from what I hear. They also have a great online system for you to check your bill, add options, etc that's very user friendly. Submit your resume to GOM see what they can do for you. However, I believe at this time they only want casters. Glad to hear you and V are coming! Too bad I'm leaving the country for your side of the world in Sept

Just browsed their site and had to use IE and install 4 active-x things just to get info on their account options. Now that stuff is just sitting in the system tray to "protect me". Geez, I love Korean websites lol. I guess what you guys are talking about is that KEB expat savings account? Free withdrawal from KEB ATMs and free online banking within KEB and to local banks. When I arrive I'll be at a cheap place in Hongdae for the time being until a find an apartment. It'd be great if you could help me find something ;D Didn't know you're leaving Korea! Leaving for good or just temporary?

I think Im in same situation after few year, I live in Finland and studying right now in university, but after i gratitude, i might stay in Finland or move to China(where Im originally come from). i donno about S-Korea, but in China, it seems damn hard to find a job as a foreigner, mainly because of VISA problem and its risky for the company(every rules are different for foreigners)...unless you have a good relationship network in China (working for your uncle or something etc...), thats just my opinion, and Korean might be different yeah, but anyway, good luck to you, and I hope everything goes well with you and your girlfriend =)
