So, I started watching this new show. Its about a select few characters(police) fighting corruption and doing police work in the city of Chicago. I am finding it to be very entertaining. I normally don't wach police dramas but i am definitely enjoying this one.

It isn't focused entirely on believability (though it's not that bad in that department). It's mostly focused on engaging plotlines and good acting.

It currently has 4 episodes, you can watch them on hulu. I don't know what channel it comes on.

Is anyone else watching this? If so, what do you think?

Yeah, was definitely always intrigued by this show - being from near chicago (and there not being many things filmed in such an awesome looking city)

Guess I'll have to check it out now!

Hmm. I'd have to agree with you. I'm quite busy, so only had time for one episode, but the one episode I did watch I found quite intriguing. Still, it hasn't won be completely over.

Yeah it's not so much about what drags other cop shows down.

And the main actor is just superb, the cop who noone else trusts (only seen 1 episode thus far)

This show is fucking amazing. I hate every other cop/detective/whatever show on television right now but this show is soooooooo good.

Edit: It's on after House btw!

The only bad part about the show is that Fox doesn't play the episodes in proper order. :/

Well, what happened was they were taking 2 weeks off for march madness I believe so they repeated the first two episodes in the time slot for those 2 weeks then it resumed as normal.
So it's no problem, special tactics, you see.

Yeah I love pretty much all the characters in this show, and the writing is so good lol.

The dude playing the mayor... wtf. He's so perfect for it and the character is so badass. I love that all the characters aren't one dimensional. No one is just a bad guy or just a good guy.

I started watching this around the same time I started watching The Wire.

It's decent, and normally I would probably like it, but it just doesn't stand up next to The Wire. I'm worried that this show will ruin my enjoyment of cop shows forever.

I started watching it when it first began but I really hate the police chief chick.

The best current cop show is Southland, but no one watches it unfortunately (like almost every good show it seems)

Oh Southland is very good, I enjoyed The Shield as well but there was way too much suspense.

for me, this is the first show i've watched where i actually cared about any of the characters. and it's the only cop show i've ever watched that i did not think was absolutely terribly written

Getting canceled after 1 season fml. Hopefully it gets picked up by another network, one that guys until 11 (fox goes right into news at 10) so they can squeeze another hour of programming.
