IdrA: "No."
Hahaha, best question in an interview yet. I can just see Jaedong doing a coaching session about how to get girls as a Zerg progamer...$150/hr, anything less wouldn't be worth his time ^.^

Yes its hard so show us that you are the best and dominate all the other races ...? Lol wat? What other styles are there to try? Pretty sure Zerg has a finite number of unit combinations. What would you possibly do different that you think hasn't been attempted in all the games that zerg have played, yet most games end up exactly the same (ling/baneling/muta, roach/hydra/corruptor, etc.)? Everyone knows how well he dominates when he is allowed to macro, but there are so many possible cheeses, many of them unscoutable and requiring a different response, that he often just loses in the early game or gets so behind that it's not worth playing it out, hence his "rage" quits. Everyone knows the MVP game where he was allowed to macro and showed off his micro and decision making. So when he has insane macro, micro, and decision making, yet still loses all the time to stupid shit, that seems like a decent reason to complain. I'm a protoss but it seems pretty obvious to me that Zerg is the most difficult and most frustrating race to play at the highest level. So what could he possibly do different? He plays standard like most of the higher level zergs (ex. Nestea) and I doubt "gimmicky" things like nydus worms or mass queens would be that effective at high levels.

He really isn't doing that bad. Maybe he just feels like his play has stagnated and he can't do any better? The bottom line though is that he's not doing any worse than usual, but he's beating himself up more because of it. Balance issues aside, the guys who practice 3-4x(literally) more than Idra at his current pace will just surpass him even more =\ He needs to find some motivation to start practicing seriously again.

Think he means something like an earlier pool or an in base hatch first just to get the necessary production. Only things off the top of my head that come before a bunker rush. It'd be kinda funny seeing idra go 7pool into macro game just to smother early aggression. Also, I think that currently zergs in general are making too many banelings to deal with marines. Being suicide units, you're not actually looking to them to deal with the entirety of the bioball, just to provide enough initial burst damage to cripple the main clump. After that pure zerglings beat split marine clusters. In idra's games he's bleeding gas in making 10 to 20 banelings at a time, and if he limits himself to just using 5 or so per major marine push I think he'd find he gets his muta cloud up so much quicker, or even have room to move on to infestors. He'd need a macro hatch just to deal with pumping zerglings though.

He'd need a macro hatch just to deal with pumping zerglings though. ...Did you really just recommend that IdrA goes 7pool into a macro game, to smother early aggression? Or an in base hatch? I'm not sure that really deserves a response...I mean...yeah...he would be so far behind that I could beat him if he 7 pooled me or built an inbase hatch in the beginning. Also no one goes pure marine, you have tanks that annihilate lings, so you need banelings to do that instant damage before the tanks destroy them. Also you have to have enough banelings to force them to do a split in the first place instead of just stutter-step firing, remaining in the bioball, and absolutely destroying an infinite number of lings. 5 banelings...would do nothing. They would get picked off the second they were within range of marine fire, no micro required. I don't want to be a dick, but out of the thousands of games IdrA has played, and the thousands Ret has played and shared his knowledge with IdrA, I'm pretty sure they came to the conclusion they shouldn't 7pool or build 5 banelings. If you think 20 lings are worth more against marines than 10 banelings...I don't know what to tell you. 5 3-3 marines with medivac support could probably kill something like 20-30 lings easily.

SCBW terran player from Media, Idra's old team. Was pretty good but definitely not world(non-korean) class. Although even back then he was receiving the same type of hype from his media buddies. So i'd take this witha grain of salt.

I really hope he does not switch, and just waits it out. He hates ladder, but when more foreigners go to korea (EG?) he will have both people to talk to and people to play, and eventually zerg will start being changed, or the other races changed, which will give him renewed vigor hopefully.

this session with MrBitter will be huge. Idra will be the angel on my shoulder, guiding me to certain victory. And, should I falter (and its quite possible [probable?] that I may) Idra has also agreed to play a game or two with each of our challengers, while also fielding whatever sorts of questions I can muster, as has been the norm on the show. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=177791¤tpage=36#710 Screw all that shit that korean ladder seems to be - THIS is going to be fun, fun and fun!
