I've lately grown a new interest for the wonderful game of brood war. I played it a little bit before the unveiling of Starcraft 2, whereupon i abandoned the beautiful game. I have since realized the folley of my ways and have returned to the uncomfortable, difficult, but tremendously more rewarding world of Brood War. I have battled Koreans aplenty and find myself with a flaw, Zerg players eat my alive like a fat kid eats chocolate cake (I was one of those fat kids, so I know how this goes personally).
I have searched far and wide, from the op pain to op teamliquid and am having little success in finding dedicated people to either A)train me, B)Train with me, or C) actually play a game with me. I am a lonely protoss user looking for some help with the mighty swarm. If anyone still plays the lovely game of Brood War, speaks English, and wouldn't mind helping me with some PvZ, let me know here or on iccup. I'm attempting to qualify for the AOV invitiational (doubtful, but I HAVE A GOAL!) my iccup ID is ISL)Blindjaco( pm me there or here or respond to this blog if you have some time to help a total noob through the grand world of Brood War.
EDIT: Also, if I'm just being completely unreasonable or there is a better way to get some practice time in, the advice would be greatly appreciated.

So what's your request exactly?
Looking for practice partners? What skill level/races are you looking for? O_o

Sorry about that, I accidently hit post before I finished ;P. I'm currently D+ level so any help would be greatly appreciated.

at what hours you intend to play ? can you host games on iccup ?
|
One problem I am having is that I am unable to host games on iccup, i think my router is just having issues and hope to fix that soon. I play generally on weekdays for a couple of hours between 8 PM EST and 12 PM EST and Saturdays most of the day 10 AM EST to about 8 PM EST.

You should check out the weekly defiler tournaments as well if you're serious about Brood War. It's a good way to have fun, trying to get as far as possible. You get to play vs good players - it gives you practice and it's fun.

I wouldn't mind helping or giving advice. I play Z, but I suck PvZ. PM me if you have Skype info, maybe we can talk strategy or whatever. I can host games on iccup.

I don't have skype or anything atm, but I have ventrilo or I could probably swing skype no big deal. What's your ID so i can pm ya when i get on??

Hi, I'm a D+ Terran. Can't really help much with your PvZ, but if you're ever looking for a PvT game, just whisper me on iCCup. I will be on one of my three accounts:
DTK-m2 DTK-m3 SKT1.Fantasy
I'm always up for a game. I have issues hosting, though, so either you'll have to host or we can Latency Trick.

although it was awhile ago when I was D+ on ICC PvZ was my hardest mu as well... I just remember making 4 extra cannons after I fe'd and got my gateways pumping units made me start winning games because almost every Z at D+ (when I played) was all-inning with lings, hydras, or both before my storm was finished. As soon as I learned to make more cannons hitting C at a PvZ lvl was easy. (also the amount of cannons I had to make went down in most games!)
