I started to play SC BW 1 month ago, against a friend and against the computer. Still, 1 week ago I decided to play on ICCup, and after a very frustrating first day I'm starting to love losing.
I still haven't won a single game and I lost most of them before I could build a factory. I,ve also been told the truth a lot recently (you f***ing noob) xD
Because this is how you improve, right? I mean, I've read all of the terran strategies and openings and BOs on liquipedia, and I've watch every game of this season's PL OSL and MSL played by terrans, plus many other games (btw, thanks a lot nevake and moktira) but getting your BO done while under pressure from your opponent is the only real way to learn it, isn't it?
I'm still better than my friends (Stacraft is not popular in Chile), but I'd rather lose on ICCup than win against them.

I cannot tell you how refreshing this blog is. After all the QQ threads/blogs about smurfs and the overall difficulty of ICCup, it's good to see someone still understands how the learning and improvement process works. I also want to highlight this part:

This is why real players look down on theorycrafters. Theorycrafters think that just by watching a ton of pro games and VODs, they magically gain as much insight and understanding of the game as a truly good player. As you have discovered, this is not at all the case. The physical execution of a strategy is just as much a part of it as any fancy timings and whatnot.
Good luck with your practice!

BOs in liquipedia lack specific.
I recommend: 1) StylishVODs thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=86770 2) Get pro replays: check simcity, triks and proper army position. Obv, you should aim for particular maps in this replays. 3) Get a practice partner. This is the only way to polish your build, and learn how to defend against some BOs, proxys, pushes etc. Just play the same scenario over and over again. You should clearly understand what should you do in any given situation and how to react/anticipate properly.

how can i gain into the Clan from teamlipuid?

): i h8 u
I used to love losing, when discovery of the game was fascinating and new. Now, the idea of knowing why you lose and how you lost is so discouraging even though you now know what you have to do, achieving it never quite reaches your reality.
Keep up the good humor :3

You will have to PM all of the Mods of teamliquid. They all have different preferences so you will have to tailor each application to the personality of each mod. For example vGl-Cow is very serious, so just be straight to the point with him and try not to make any jokes or anything. Same goes for CharlieMurphy. Manifesto7 on the other hand likes to joke around alot so you can be a little bit of a comedian when you write to him. This is how all of the other teamliquid clan members got in, save for Liquid`HuK who was let in because they felt bad for him.

Yea thats how I feel. I could care less whether I win or lose as long as I felt like I did well on my end. I'm a D player and would have no qualms playing B ranks all day. Never understood the people that complain about smurfs or whatever. Guess winning really is that important to some.

Thanks everyone! And thanks a lot for the suggestions. I'm definitely going to practice that Stylish's 5-fact push vP until I succeed. And I've been practicing wall-ins against the computer, so I can restart immediately after I finish. Oh and about this
may you someday reach A+ on iccup! xD XDDDDDDDDD that's would be awesome (y)
