That feels bad man, im sorry for you. There is a dog in our house aswell, and it is so depressing to know that someday he will be gone too.

I can't imagine the pain. You sounded close. I have a 9 year old cat I now live two hours away from, but I have always been very fond of her. Keep your feet moving... it can be hard to get them going again if you stop.

I would argue, that a good amount of TLnetizens (and not only them) is closer to a pet than to any human.
Also I don't see why he couldn't dedicate this verse to a dog. Only because it was written for a human friend doesn't mean it's not applicable in various situations, don't be so ignorant.
