Hard to comment on the two starcraft ones, I mean they're fairly simple. Guessing that it may be some sort of vector work? In that case I feel they are about as good as they can get for that purpose.

Digging the album covers though, not much to critique there.:D

And just to give some sense of merit to my critique, I've been making my own backgrounds for a couple of years now but quite abit different from what you do(I do the typical abstract 3D + Photoshop backgrounds). Critiquing stuff is hard though, I haven't critiqued anything for quite a while.

If you want sources of inspiration one example would be to check up on some graphics forums and do the signature of the week contests they have, and wallpaper/large piece of the week contests. They're usually themed with something each week, and it's a decent way of getting some practice in too. :D
