So one day I was making an LR thread and I realized, most of TL could beat me at BW, so why should I get to be the one to say which games were good and bad in the recommended section?
I then had an idea to create a poll for people to say if they would recommend a game. I included a "highly recommended" option because I really wanted a "highly recommended games" thread at the time I think.

I'm not 100% sure I was the first one to do this, but it seems to have caught on. Recommended games existed for about a year and a half before this, but it was always at the OP's discretion and never a poll.

Hm,. A bit of a random blog, but it's totally an excellent idea so cheers if you were the one to come up with it. =)

Well I actually prefer one person's biased and uninformed opinion rather than the mob's biased and uninformed opinion. Numbers on a poll don't motivate me to watch a game, but the OP commentating that the game was "AMAAAAZZIIINGGG!!!" does get me interested.
I think a combination of both is my favourite. I still think the poll is a good idea though.

I have the opposite problem. When some brainless OP just writes meaningless things like "meh" and "Typical AvB" and "x fails again watch if you like y" it devalues his recommendations for the entire series because he obviously doesn't know Starcraft. The polls are super and I can just check the results if I need to follow a favorite player.

Haha, nice idea ! I've been away from BW too long.
(Also, I still remember your bracketology analysis for CSL--thanks for writing that long ago o.o)

Well, that sounds almost exactly like my threads, and I'm sorry if you don't like it. I have to ask, though, what do you want instead? Something more detailed? There is a 50 page LR for a detailed account. You want someone else's opinion? That was the point of the polls. I would love to increase the quality of the op, but how do you suggest I do that?

Everytime Bisu/Flash/Jaedong wins a game the Poll is incredibly biased, I liked having the OP's opinion a lot more

I agree, Showing only polls doesnt really get me too interested in the games. I love some biased opinion and trashtalking about the games.
