Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion. For regular posters, don't quote the trolls.

So lovely to see this post from Mora. I'm gay too. And also like strategy games. Let's ROCK this joint. O gawd But Thoughts on hottest Character in SC saga? Hard question! There are like NO hot male characters in SC2. You straight guys are damn lucky, you get kerrigan AND nova Jim isn't hot, tychus isn't hot, valerian isn't hot, mengsk DEFINITELY isn't hot... Zeratul maybe? Lol. Anyway, to answer your question, Aleksei Stukov from BW was the hottest character Peace.

I will occasionally hit on straight guys that i do not like to purposefully make them feel uncomfortable. There's something empowering about making straight guys feel the way women are made to feel. Especially being that you have that control over a straight guy. Lol i would be flattered. (knowing he's not doing it to make me feel confused). But i only do that when i'm drunk and am totally willing to get beaten up for doing so.

In my experience gays in bars were fairly laid back about and just happy to chat even when they knew they weren't getting anywhere but in clubs they're way more aggressive.

Does this "mancrush" fenomenon actually exist or is it just a straight guys denial of bisexuality? ^^ + Show Spoiler + Reach is a god, therefore it isn't a mancrush, more like crushing on a God (a manly one, pretty much the only manly protoss).

In my experience gays in bars were fairly laid back about and just happy to chat even when they knew they weren't getting anywhere but in clubs they're way more aggressive. I think it depends, straight guys can be incredible teases, and if you're flirting with a gay guy in a gay club - it can get frustrating. And you gotta remember that we like to make our time in gay bars count I personally have no problems with straight guys in gay bars/clubs ^^ What pisses me off more about some gay clubs is the fact that they don't actually let straight guys or even girls in sometimes. It's just pointless discrimination, it's not like straight people won't know it's a gay club, it's usually pretty clear as they're going with their gay friends. It's just silly.

Because of this sentiment I feel, OP and others I welcome you to let your real selves known. Never feel wrong or disgusted about being gay. It's your life, live it to it's fullest however it gets you there.

By holding gay pride parades and calling attention to the fact that one is gay it is implying that ones sexuality matters when the whole point of the gay rights movement is that it doesn't matter and that people of all sexualities, religions, and races should be treated with the same amount of dignity and respect. There was a Louis Theroux documentary I watched recently, where he goes to live with Tom Metzger and leaders of the white supremacy movement. He ends up at the home of a skinhead family and after a tour around their house, they ask him if he is a jew. He refuses to answer and justifies it by saying "If I admit to being jewish or not jewish, that's akin to saying that my religion matters when I think it doesn't." I really like what he said there. However, when gays face such overwhelming discrimination as they do now, I think there needs to be attention called to it for anything to get done. People need to realize gay people live around them in peace and that they aren't a drain on society and that they are more than just their sexuality. The reason things like gay pride parades and Black history month exist, is because the rest of the year is for straight pride and white history. We're just included in that group so we don't realize it.

Hope this helps you better understand where I'm coming from. User was warned for this post User was banned for this post. Okay, I understand it, everyone is pretty paranoid about accidentally hurting gay people or their pride, I still wonder, why would you ban a guy from Saudi Arabia for expressing his point of view on gay lifestyle? You have to agree, this kind of resembles political debates on TL where conservatives clash with democrats, yet none of the conservatives expressing their ideas gets banned for being a "redneck" or ignorant. This was hardly offensive in any way and actually is an interesting point, maybe he got banned because it wasn't relevant to the OP? I have no idea.

In situations where i wish to avoid animosity, i would never hit on a straight guy who was made to feel uncomfortable by it, so i can not explain these others' motivations. I'm straight and I do this to straight guys - usually my friends, though sometimes guys I dislike. It came out of playing a whole lot of gay chicken with my roommate in college. Thankfully I haven't gotten beaten up for it, though a few times I almost ended up in some sexy trouble when I didn't realize the other guy was actually gay. >_> Anyway, you're awesome and I hope to see more of this thread!

Originally it was just a warning as you can see, but based on past history and refusal to talk to a moderator about his behavior we decided for a ban. This has been reduced to a temporary ban after a talk with moderators.

There are only a few people I know in real life who know... I plan on telling my friends, though. I'm not going to be in their face about it, but I have to know where they stand on it. I don't think I could ever be friends with someone who's prejudiced against something that's a part of who I am. EDIT: I just reread my post and noticed that I come across as a bit prejudiced myself. I don't mean to... I just don't want to associate myself with hateful, closed-minded people.
