New AC adapter?

Hey guys, my old toshiba laptop's adapter went missing and I cannot find it anywhere. So I decided to buy a new a/c adapter for it. The official site charges $90, and I dug around and found this for $40:

However, it has horrible reviews which leads me to think that even if I order a new one, it won't last long..

Now, I found this site online that has the exact adapter but sells it for $20

In your opinion, do you think this usbphone world site is legit? I mean do you think they will mess with my credit card info and junk like that? A little help please

There's a good chance if the adapters have ebay prices it's a counterfiet knockoff.

When you say it has the exact adapter are the model number exactly the same?

These power adapters are notorious for overheating and failing. If it fails and causes a power spike it could fry your system.

Honestly, I wouldn't trust buying adapters for any electronics from anyone but the dealer. I've heard a lot of horrible stories about shabbily constructed knock-off adapters that'll work for a few weeks and then quit (forcing you to buy another one) to consider buying them.

When the adapter for my laptop unexpectedly (actually not too unexpected...I was pretty rough with it) gave out a few months ago, I went straight to lenovo and bought another one.

i don't live in canada sorry =( i wish i did

i took my chances and bought the $20 one

hopefully it lasts more than a week

I wouldn't be too optimistic, but let us know how it goes.

You'll likely end up paying more than you would have, had you bought the actual Toshiba charger in the first place. But who knows, maybe you'll get lucky.
