With 15 alive, it is 8 to lynch!
Xelin(7) Versatile Elemenope Infundibulum ~Opz~ haster27 Abenson Iaaan
Iaaan(1) Xelin
Xelin's arsenal will strike Zona at 14:05 April 1st KST!
Nukes in the air: 1 Nukes detonated: 4 Radiation levels: moderate
Day 2 currently ends Friday April 2nd, 13:00 KST!
|
two things:
Anyone wanting to switch from Xelin to another suspect has my support, I think he is probably just retarded town, although there is the possibility of retarded mafia. I will probably vote for whoever has the most votes in order to get the majority.
Because I am a big suspect, and people have nukes (thus people might want to nuke me), I feel like it helps to say this: I have a special role, and one of the things it gives me is passive nuke protection, I can only be killed by the lynch or at night; nuking me will just waste a nuke/add to radiation level. And we wouldn't want to reach the ToD o:
Bold because I think that people stupid enough to nuke on a whim will just skip over the thread: I cannot be nuked because of my special role, only lynched/night killed

##I change my vote to Caller
-_-...I'm sorry, but I think Xelin's stupid town...And if his nukes real, we'll have plenty of time to revote him. I'm down for killing someone who's actually not doing anything when he should be one of the better players.
That is all.
|
Dear Mafia denizens, if have been sitting inside and constantly F5-ing this thread to keep up with whatever is going on, I implore you - go outside and enjoy the weather sometime. You won't regret it.
Here are the two questions on my mind right now: 1) Is Xelin mafia? 2) Does he deserve to be lynched?
Considering the amount of bad decisions and judgments that have been made so far by him, it seems fairly reasonable to conclude that we SHOULD lynch him. After all, nuking out of line not once, but TWICE - with each nuke being special in its own way - pretty much defies everything that the town's tried to agree to. For this alone, I think he deserves to be lynched. But is he mafia? I sincerely doubt it. Bad decisions and poor judgments are pretty characteristic of Xelin, but we should note that in previous games when he was mafia he said and did MUCH LESS than he is now.
Whom else is a good candidate? ~OpZ~ changed his vote to Caller, which I fully support. It's also where all of this nuclear madness began. I think it's about time we followed up on RoL's original hunch to see what we can make of it.
##vote: Caller
|
ok, i think i've waited long enough k listen up here is the alive list + Show Spoiler [list] + # d3_crescentia # JeeJee # Xelin # ~Opz~ # Caller # haster27 # Elemenope # iNfuNdiBuLuM # Zona # Fishball # Iaaan # Versatile # Nikon # Abenson # nemy
the following people have voted for xelin: Versatile Elemenope Infundibulum ~Opz~ haster27 Abenson Iaaan (bear with me for a sec opz, i know you changed your vote)
that means (excluding myself and xelin):
d3 caller zona fishball nikon nemy
the above people probably have read the thread (it's been almost a day), and probably consciously decided not to vote for xelin. why is this? just inactivity/laziness? i think there is something else here..
if xelin were mafia, then his buddies wouldn't be so hasty as to jump onto the wagon to get him to majority. then again, if it seems the town is hell-bent on lynching him, they would not argue against it, and probably jump on the wagon later (hi iaaan) to save their skins, if it seemed to be a sure thing with or without their votes
maybe i'm just reading too much into the inactivity (as, let's face it, the drowsy trio of d3 caller and nemy are on that list), or maybe we have something here?
what do you think
|
Ok. I'm off work, done dinner, and caught up with the thread.
First off, I want to point out my two top suspects besides Xelin. I would talk about Xelin later on.
Nikon, for trying to extend the day for the N'th time with his last minute nuke, against town consensus (duh), at an arguably lesser target based on general consensus, Zona.
Caller, lurking and laying low. Of course this alone wouldn't be enough for him to make the top of my list.
Listen up, I am France, a Tracker. One of my abilities is to track who visited who at Night. I used this ability on Caller during Night.
Results: Caller visited Meeple last night. Meeple ended up dead.
Pretty much self explanatory right here.
So Meeple and Amber was killed last night. We don't know if Mafia have more than one KP or not. If they do, the kills would easily make sense and Caller could very well be Mafia.
Let's assume Mafia only has 1 KP, and the other kill was from a Vigilante or the sort. Now Xelin pops out and says:
On March 31 2010 14:16 XeliN wrote:Also presumably a Vigilante type role used their ability to kill Meeple during the night due to the reason:
On March 31 2010 14:24 XeliN wrote: The mafia has 1 KP during each and every night, 2 people have died, one specified "has been killed during the night" the other "has been found dead"
As far as I can tell that means someone town side has used an ability incorrectly, or possibly the mafia have a similar ability, but it doesn't make much sense for them to have night kill abilities as well as KP
Now, to me, this is just simply wording, and doesn't specifically means anything. A Mafia can also kill a target and the target would be "found dead" in the morning, no? Also, as mentioned in the thread, Amber was already suspected by some players, why would the Mafia hit him if this was the case? If a vigilante were to choose between Meeple and Amber, most likely it would be Amber. My point is, regardless of how much KP the Mafia has, Meeple is likely hit by a Mafia, and Caller took an action against Meeple last night. Meeple ended up dead.
Now, my ability only tells me who visited who at night, but doesn't tell me what the player did to the other player. Regardless, I'm 100% sure that Caller has a Night ability. Is he a Medic? Don't think so, as the Mafia would literally have to use 2 KP on Meeple to kill him. Is he a DT? Among so many "suspicious" players out there, what are the chances Meeple being checked? Coincidentally having Meeple die on the same night? Also, I consider my role like a mini-DT. Would there actually be a full DT role in this game? These are all hypothetical questions, but when you answer them all, the most likely scenario is that Caller is red and he killed Meeple.
One thing I don't understand is Xelin. His actions is like asking to be lynched, like the Village Idiot role pointed out by others already. I don't know what Xelin and Nikon have against Zona, as the majority of the players is obviously not seeing what they see, but after the Nikon stunt, Xelin has the guts to do the same thing, again, almost immediately (6 minutes) after the Night post. It doesn't matter if you are Mafia or Town, this move is just retarded.
If we put aside Xelin's "kill-me-please" plea, what should we do with Nikon and Caller? Nikon's move during Day is far more suspicious to me, and has yet to answer to his actions. Should town launch its first consensual nuke?
|
speaking of the drowsy trio, hi d3
why the vote for caller? so far i'm reading "based on rol's hunch". I do hope your thinking process was more involved than that.
|
Gogogogo Fishball....
Also, if theirs a dt here, I think it's Zona. If he's mafia, I'ma be mad for wasting the anti-nuke on him....
|
This is a very interesting tidbit indeed, Fishballs. I will wait to see if Caller pipes up before switching my vote. If he doesn't say anything at all though, I will switch my vote for Caller.
Tho the other possibility you did not mention, FB, that Caller is a vigi role and killed Meeple. If he is red it is very easy for him to claim this in the thread and lie about it.
Therefore, depending on circumstances - say we have a vigi hiding somewhere that is not Caller - he should probably claim if he had a "1-shot" role use only

Well, gentlemen and woman, my idea of coming clean has been most rudely interrupted.
I am Israel, an Alignment Cop. The reason that I have barely said anything all game thus far is because any country's leader that opened their mouth died in a nuclear fire along with their many innocent civilians, as all can very clearly see. I didn't think there was any need at all for me to endanger my people's republic before my intelligence agency managed to get even one check off, so I figured the best thing to do was to say nothing. If people suspected my people of being conniving Mafia, then all the better, as by hiding among outsiders have the Jewish people survived for this long.
Basically, I have the ability to see whether or not someone is Innocent or Mafia.
I checked Nikon last night, because there were numerous suspicions among the people for his odd posting strategizations. But for some reason my checks had resulted in the determination of the role of meeple instead, and he, to my horror, was Mafia. I'm guessing that this odd switching of roles must have something to do with that blasted bus driver role that flamewheel had emplaced in his game.
I was initially going to reveal the people's will earlier today. But having saw that meeple was an ambiguous cop, I decided that it would be more effective for me to retreat and allow the intelligence agency to collect more datath. Firstly, if the Mossad were sane, that would give me result that meeple was in fact an innocent. The fact that he came out as a red scum implies that I am either insaneth or paranoidal.
Consider: Ambiguous implies that he could hath been sane, insane, paranoid, or naive, etc. This means that I could also be one of those four. Since he came out scummy, and he was in fact innocent, that narrows it down to insane or paranoid, i.e. that my checks come out reversed, or all countries appear as mafia to my agents.
I apologizeth for any misoverestimation that may have occurred and hope that I have clarified the matter somewhat, gentlemen.

@Jeejee
While the idea makes sense, that the mafia would wait and let the town create a bandwagon to hop onto, I doubt all mafia would wait until the end to vote. It makes sense in the same way that the mafia would all vote to lynch the same person. But at the same time, you would think that the mafia would encourage an incorrect bandwagon to protect themselves, and try to distribute their votes/vote time in order to remain inconspicuous.
So I disagree with that theory, but I do agree with some of the inferences we can make from it.
Looking at the lists you made of who has and hasn't voted for xelin, most/all of the towns suspects are on the list that has not voted for xelin. Your theory on the pattern on time could explain why that is. Another explanation could be: if we assume that Xelin is mafia, then the list of people who haven't voted for him makes perfect sense: the mafia do not vote for xelin and hope, or put effort into, getting someone else lynched.
and also, recognizing your suspicion of me, I don't know what to say, I made my first post after seeing the day post/the nuke that xelin fired, and I was a little angry at his stupidity, and slightly irrationally happy that I probably wouldn't be getting killed today because of him (not that I need to be alive for the town to win, but what can I say, I want to live), so I just posted my stupid little vote/comment and felt accomplished. Also, I intend to vote for whoever is closest to the majority so we do now have a no lynch.
so that said, I think that this list has 3or4/5 mafia in it: Xelin Caller Nikon Nemy d3
I think we should continue to lynch Xelin, and Discuss nuking (and then proceed with nuking) Caller. Xelin has shown that he has nukes he isn't afraid to be stupid with, however when Caller was nuked before, he posted that he had no nukes nor anti nukes. Caller is also the most likely mafia member in my eyes, with his inactivity and then with Fishball's post about his special abilities.
|
and lol @ me, I posted that before reading Caller's post. I don't know anything about all those types of cops, I only started playing mafia recently. But his post makes him look more innocent at least. So if we decide he is innocent then great, ignore my post. Lucky I didn't just nuke Caller before trying to talk about it, like most people (:

The nuke was fake. I see nothing wrong with merely extending the day, but w/e. Of course, I can't confirm it since someone shot it down, but that's hardly my fault.

Hmm... the thing is that we already have a dead medic and a dead cop... so I doubt Caller's visit was beneficial, it's extremely unlikely that there's another one alive. Other than that, I agree with your sentiment about who targetted who.

Bullshit, the bus driver doesn't work that way, if we were switched you'd still get meeple's role as a result on me.

sup nikon, go read caller's post.
It makes more sense that with 2 cops that they could be screwed up cops.

I'm sure that a bus driver esque role could work however Ace wants it to.

Who knows, maybe he got meeple's name and Nikon's role.

can someone give me a brief description of the bus driver? i wasn't in the other game.
