Great deal up front, but I would always be suspicious of used computer parts. New, that would probably run you 1k.

It's used. That changes the entire picture :p

You don't know how well he was taking care of the computer, and you don't know if all of the parts are functioning properly.

That price is amazing. Mobo and ram is a bit outdated but your still getting a decent cpu with good graphics(last time I checked the GTS 250 was in the mid $100's). Win7 costs $100. The mouse and keyboard together are prob another $100.

As FragKrag see if he'll let you run prime95 for at least an hour. Otherwise just run hwinfo32 to confirm components/temps quickly, take a quick peek in the case to see that hardware is in tact. I'd take that deal in a heartbeat.

Way too cheap to be legit in my opinion.

Well those are both lower end GTS 250s which are older models, but the CPU and mobo are the most dated parts on the computer. Q6600 is an old champion, but it is old, and quite simply not the performer it once boasted to be :p

See if he is using default Intel HSF. If he isn't, you can get an extra ghz out of that Q6600 easily I think.

Seems like an awesome deal and I am probably going to be needing another desktop computer in my house. This is going to be for basically everything, gaming, movies, hw, etc. I will probably be slapping a 5770 onto it, or some other GPU that is relatively cost efficient.

Yeah that is a pretty good deal for a decent gaming machine. I was actually considering it, but they had to slap that H55 motherboard on it ><

i'd go for it, as long as the monitor/razr stuff is in good condition the other stuff is so cheap that even if you have to replace one of the other components you're probably getting a decent deal.
